I LOVE THE ASTROS!! WE WERE LUCKY ENOUGH TO GO TO GAME 3. WE TOOK OUR 8 YEAR OLD SON. IT WAS SO EXCITING, AND EVEN MORE SO TO SEE HOW EXCITED HE WAS!! CONGRATULATIONS & GOOD LUCK!! WE KNOW YOU CAN DO IT!! GO 'STROS!!! JAIME

THANK YOU HOUSTON ASTROS!!! I LOVE YOU GUYS...I BEE-LIEVE THIS IS OUR YEAR.

Astros you make me proud to be a Stros Fan. Lets go all the way. You all are un-BEE-leivable.

The slogan says it all, "Root for the good guys". Thank you all for a truly memorable season. You all never gave up and I commend you for that. Thanks for bringing the National League Pennant to Houston. Now lets seal the deal! GO 'STROS!!!!!!

I watched my first Astro game in person in August of 1965 when I was 10 years old. It has been a long wait but well worth it. This current team is the best because they are a team and seem to care more about each other and the fans then just a paycheck. We're praying for you Astros!!!

I've been an Astros fan since I was a kid in the sixties. I was there in '80 and '86 when they got so close. I've watched so many great players come and go - Wynn, Rader, Watson, Cedeno, Cruz, Howe, Wilson, Niekro, Ryan, Scott, Knepper, and on and on and on... After all of those seasons of great baseball it is truly incredible to finally be able to say, "the National League Champion Houston Astros!!!!!"

Go Astros all the way we are cheering for you all the way from Iraq. We bee-lieve.

My husband is a great fan of Bagwell. He has watched him since the beginning and is happy that he will finally get his due in a "World Series" run. Congrats to all the great guys on the team. We will be watching and cheering for you all.

I was born and reaised in New England- a diehard Red Sox fan. Moved to Texas nearly ten years ago and have found the Astros. Ya gotta love the underdog guys!!!! Congratulations,Git-R-Done!

We're all so proud o' y'all, 'Stros :-) Since I had intended on visiting Houston (from San Angelo, TX), I wish I could've seen a live game in person... Nevertheless, please rest assured that I - along w/other fans in Texas & beyond - will root you on in the World Series! My Love, Hope & Faith ~ Elaine =D

Way to go! Good Guys do finish FIRST. Congrats to all of you. Houston is SO proud to have a team like the Astros going to the World Series. Biggio has been my fav player since he joined and I'm SO happy for him and Bags. Let's keep routing for the Good Guy. Now lets go to the big dance and two step our way to Victory. GO ASTROS!!!!!!!

Way to go Astro's! You've made the city of Houston proud. Now go win the World Series!

Way to go Astro's! I haven't lived in Texas in 7 years, but you've always been and will always be MY team! I need a store up in Indiana to get more shirts to show my support. Any one have any ideas?

YES!!!! GO ASTROS!!! MAKE ME PROUD!

It was a WONDERFULL site seeing yall win last nigh. I have been a fan all my life. I even taught my 2 year old daughter to say " GO ASTROS! " Yall did it guys and now we are going to the world series where we are gona beat the White Sox! Great Job. We love yall. dparker of baytown

I have followed the Astros since I was old enough to walk. I have been an All-Star catcher, middle infielder, and outfielder, and I thrive on getting hit by pitches and legging out doubles. I have emulated my career after Craig Biggio.
I cried with you guys during 1994 when you were kicking on all cylinders in the Strike Shortened battle with Cincinatti, I listened on MLB radio overseas when I was an ex-pat during middle school. I was yelling and keeping up with stats in highschool, now in college you brought back every reason to bee-lieve and to just love the game of baseball. Thank you. Good luck in the Series.

Go Astros,

I have been a fan for a long time my dad used to take us to the Astrodome and I was so heart broken at the age of 7 in 1986 the series against the Mets ... Lets go Win this series against the White Sox ..

Bring it Home Boys !!

Hellooooo Houston!!! I am so happy for the team and the great fans in Houston. Ever since I moved to Houston in '83 from Dallas I've been a big Astros fan...Billy Doran was my first favorite player. I'm living in New York now for the time being but I'll always be an Astros supporter through and through. I'm so proud of you guys...Bidge, Baggy, the entire team, the fans, the city...I am so happy for you all. My wife and friends say I look like Roger so if you see a look-alike in West/Southwest Houston in the next week or so, be sure to say howdy!
Craig in New York

Let's go Astros!! Thanks for all your hard work and dedication. WS '05 here we come!!! Root for the Good Guys!!

GO STROS,

FINALLY! It's been too long since Houston has had a team to represent it against other big money spending teams. I haven't been this hyped up since 1995 when the Houston Rockets won the NBA championship. Ten years later we have a revived clutch city. See you at the big dance!

-Frank S.

GO ASTROS!!!

Texas Rangers Fans supports the Houston Astros. Heard from San Antonio Spurs and Houston Rockets fans that they will support and cheer all the way to the HOUSTON ASTROS!!!!!

Go Astros!!!
Texas is behind ya'll!!!

Wow, it's been a long time coming, but you guys finally made it! I must admit that this is one of the most surreal moments of my life. For this particular season to be the one ending in a trip to the World Series is beyond comprehension. It really says something about the quality of the players on our team. To overcome what you all overcame this season is truly admirable, and will go down in history as one of the greatest runs of all time. Be proud of yourselves for making it this far. I was there at the games this season when the going was rough (won every game I went to!) and I watched almost every game that was televised (stupid Cox Cable), and there will be no way I'm missing the WORLD SERIES (albeit on Television).... Try your best, and enjoy it!

YES! YES! YES! Way to go Astros. My dad use to take me to games when I was a kid at the Astrodome to watch. I am so proud of u guys. congradulations!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Look out White Sox here comes the Killer Bees!

Way to Go ASTROS...You Will Win....Pitchers On...Defense!

I you guys could do it I stood by them all season even when everyone told me I was crazy. Congrats, and open up the good ol' can of Texas whoop *** on those SOX! GO 'STROS.

I've been a Houston Astros fan for over 32 yrs. I've been with them through the good times and the bad. This year was a giant chip finally knocked of there shoulder. I'm proud to say I'm an Astros fan. They are going to bring it home. GO ASTROS!!!!!

No matter how great or talented an individual is, individuals who "work together" (a TEAM) will always win... especially the BIG ONE. That's the ASTROS this year...A TRUE TEAM!!! Houston, we don't have a problem ANYMORE...We have a true baseball TEAM with a NL Pennant and one WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP on the way! Remember..."Failure Is NOT An Option." Good Luck!

I have been a Astros fan since I was a little girl... It's awesome to see my team in the World Series....Geaux Astros......

Astros fan always

Get'R Done Astros!!!!
Love you guys and most of all Andy Pettitte. You were my favorite Yankee, but now my favorite Astro.

Hey whats up guys. my name is justin and im from Tennessee so I really didnt have a team to pull for until 5 years ago when my mom met this guy he was a huge astros fan so from the time i was 8 i watched Biggio with his signature helmet or 2or3 yers ago when bagweell hit 4 a cycle (again (lol)) so i love the astros now and i would just like to GO ASTROS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

CONGRATULATIONS!!!! Way to GO STROS!!!!!!!!!! It is your turn to win the World Series!!! BEST OF LUCK!!!

Go astros!!! you've made it this, finish off the sox and youll be in the history books forever.
GO ASTROS!!!

I am a single parent. Several years ago my boys and I became Astro's fans! As the years passed our love for them grew stronger! Each time they didn't make it we were sad, but when the new season rolled around we were back on the Wagon! I just wanted you guys to know what a difference you have made in our lives!! We allways believed and aren't surprised you finally got what you deserved! Congratulation all of you!! God bless you and give you the strength to Accomplish you dream come true!!

I almost forgot!!
This is to Andy Pettitte....

I work with a Lady by the name of Dina Nicalardi... she said she knew you when you were around 12 or 13 years old. Her son Chad I believe played ball with you on the Astro's little league team!! She said you may remember her... anyways she wishes you and the Team lotts of Luck and sends her prayers!!

I've been watching you guys since I was a little guy. When many people wrote you guys off this season, left you for dead, you responded by getting into the World Series. I know that you have the whole city of Houston and the state of Texas behind you. Congratulations on the pennant! Now go and get some rings in the World Series! Go 'Stros!
Chris "The Home Stretch in Houston"

Well as a huge Cardinals Fan I just have one thing to say! Congratulations Houston, you were the better team this year! You far and away deserve to be there, you beat a great team in order to make it! Go and represent the national league with pride!

Dreams Do Come True! I am so proud of every single player who never gave up, you guys are so amazing.
My husband is currently in Iraq(he left in April) and if it wasn't for the Astros games to help keep me distracted from worrying about my husband's safety I wouldn't have had a great summer. This whole summer has taught me how to have faith and strength and I can also see how this Astros team has overcome and found strength as well. I am so happy for Biggio and Bagwell, you guys mean so much to the game of baseball, you set an example that sports writers will talk about for years to come. Just play your hearts out in the World Series and make us World Champions!

I've always rooted for the good guys! I grew up an Astros fan(thanks to my dad) in Baytown going to Astros games. My dad has pictures of me at 2 years old wearing a rainbow Astros shirt he had bought for me!! My love for this team has never waivered. I live to watch the games on TV and when I can actually go to a game in person. Now I'm 27 and I couldn't be happier to see them go to the World Series!!! This has given me hope after hurricane Rita damaged our home and something to definately stand up and cheer for! Congrats Astros!!!!
Lots of Love, K

This message is from my son Anthony who is 8 years old. He has cheered for you guys all summer long!!!! Every day he wakes up to ESPN and reads the Sports page.

Congratulations Astros!!!! My favorite players are Craig Biggio, Lance Berkman, Brad Lidge and Andy Pettit. You guys are awesome. Play your best and you will win the World Series. Your Astros Buddie, Anthony.

P.S. Go Astros.

Congratulations to the Houston Astros and especially number, 22, Andy Pettitte. Andy I love you like a son and had the pleasure of meeting you last August at Shea Stadium. No matter where you go, I will be there. I live in Queens NY and whereever a jet lands, I will go to see you. I was also at Spring training 05, in Kississmee to see you. God bless you and keep up the good work. The best to you all ways.

CONGRATULATIONS!!! I love you guys. Brad Lidge is the man!!
Bring one home for Houston!

im very happy for the astros keep u the great work with a great manager and all the great staff u have

As a Canadian living way over here in South Korea, I'm definitely not your "typical" Astro fan but for a good 25 years I've followed the Stros through thick and thin. Now it's a reality and my team is going to the World Series! CONGRATULATIONS, GOOD LUCK & just play your best. Biggio and Bags are my favs but just so proud of the whole TEAM and organization! Now go out there and WIN it all!

GO ASTROS!!!!!!

Congratulations!!!. Though I no longer live in Houston, my family and I make sure that people here in Tucson know about the Astros. Good luck in the series. Thanks for the memories

Way to go Astros! You guys should all wear retro jerseys at the first home game. The crowd would go really wild then. Just a thought.

It couldn't happen to a nicer bunch of guys!! We've been diehard Astros fans since the 80's, and remember all too well the 86 series! I am so happy for Biggio & Bagwell...you have been the backbone for so many years...you so deserve it! Thank you Clemens and Pettitte for helping Houston fulfill a dream! And I love all of the young up & coming players(Berkman, Burke, Lane, Lamb, etc)who also have played a major role this year. Thank you Beltran for giving us Willy T! Backe, don't ever lose your wonderful enthusiasm for the game...It is soooo fun to watch! To the best pitching staff ever...starters & relievers...keep up the GREAT work!!! And Lidge...Keep the Lights Out!! Kudos to Ausmus who has to keep these guys in line!! Congrats to ALL of you (it was a team effort) and the coaching staff...especially Garner & Cruz. THANKS FOR THE THRILLS & GOOD LUCK (cause a little luck never hurts) but ya'll really don't need it!...can't wait for the big dance to start. GO 'STROS!

just wanted to say congradulations from san antonio. there is also a huge fan base down here. we are gald to see biggio and bagwell finally reach the series. best of luck

I was born in Houston and have loved the Astros as far back as I can remember. I've been through a lot of heartache because of the Astros but winning the NLCS has more than made up for the past. Now, let's get the White Sox and win it all! The city of Houston, the Astros, and all their fans certainly deserve it! GO ASTROS!

Way to go, Astros! I grew up a Braves fan in NC but when I moved to Houston in '92, it was not long before the class of guys like Biggio and Bagwell soon won my allegience. The Astros are such a great organization that I have remained a tried and true fan even after leaving Texas in '99. I'm so proud of your organization. You guys epitomize a "can do attitude". Now take it to those White Sox and bring home a world championship for yourselves and the great fans of the Houston Astros. Astros all the way!

WAY TO GO ASTROS!!!!!!! Ya'll are the best! It's your turn to win the World Series. Ya'll ROCK! Congrats and Chris Burke... your a HOTTIE!!
I wish ya'll the best of luck!

What a TEAM! We've got what it takes to win WS05 - a TEAM! You guys work so great together, and you give credit to each other instead of one player hogging it all for himself. You guys all did a SUPER job just like us loyal fans expected all along. We're behind you all the way, so go out there and knock the 'Sox' off 'em!! GO 'STROS!!

I've been a fan since the beginning, when everyone wondered what an "Astro" was...well, now the world knows...Astros are winners!!!
Love you guys!!!

Beaumont, TX

One more thing... I'm from Houston!!!! Bring it home STROS!!

I've followed the Astros since I was a kid. I can't even put into words how proud I am off the whole team. When all of my friends doubted that you guys would go all the way, I never stopped believing. You guys have what it takes to win...heart. Thanks for all the wonderful memories!

GO ASTROS

All my life (47 yrs), every summer I've rooted for, cheered and bled for the 'stros.. Dome dogs, the endless list of players..80, 86, a proud fan win or lose. Congratulations guys! I always knew that this season would be the best ever with the return of Rog and the departure of Beltran. No other team deserves this more that you guys. I know you will make Houston and Houstonians all over the world proud of this ball club. I would wish y'all luck, but I know you do not need it. Talent will prevail. Go Astros!

Major kudos, guys. This is part of why I can wear my Astros hat with pride, even in the suburbs of Chicago. I'd say good luck, but, hey, y'all don't need it.

Hey Astros, I just wanted to say that every one of you have made a kid's dream come true. I live and die for the Astros. This is just unbelievable to me going to the World Series! I've never been so happy in my entire life. But the mission is not accomplished yet, the World championship is in reach. Including the postseason, you have 96 wins, why don't we just win 4 more and make it an even 100???? Sounds like a plan to me! No matter the outcome of the series I am always behind the Astros! Take care of the Sox baby!

Congratulations!! Astros all the way!! You've got a true fan in little old West Virginia!

Lance- I know your brother in law, he played in our state! If you are half as nice as him, then are are truely a wonderful guy! Good Luck!!

Hats off to the 'stros, but you guys are'nt the best team in texas. Rangers rock, they wup the 'stros every time they play. Astros ain't gonna win the series.

Undoubtedly the single greatest moment in my life to date. THE ONLY WAY TO MAKE IT SWEETER IS IF WE WERE PLAYING THE SERIES IN THE DOME!!!!!!!!

By the way, I didn't mean to post twice! LOL Computer mishaps! Gotta love 'em!

Hey Brandon Backe,
I LOVE YOU. I went to the cannon picture day this year and was really looking forward to taking a picture with you, and telling you how much i Love You i did not meet you that day but hopefully one day i will. so good luck in the World Series go get them. And Roy thank you,you are so great you so deserve the MVP i loved what you said about your father. Go Astros

Congrats to all of the Astros! But most of all to Mr. Craig Biggio - I have been following him since he signed with the 'stros and am still amazed at his talents and abilities to play any position. NO ONE deserves this Championship more than him. I am a native Houstonian and am more excited about this Championship than I was when the Oilers left!! There has never been a more deserving group of guys than the 2005 Astros and my thoughts and prayers go with you through this series and for the record - The Best Guys have already won!! Go 'Stros

I must say, congratulations Astros. I am a huge Cardinals fan, and I was just sitting on the couch crying my eyes out when we lost. But I am very happy for you all, and I wish you the best of luck in the series. I'll be watching and most definetly rooting for a good NL team. You've earned my respect from now on.

Have been an Astros fan since I was a little girl. Our parents took me and my sister on family vacations to Houston (from Lafayette, LA) and we went to several Astros games at the Astrodome. That was during the early 70's, and I have been a huge Astros fan since then. I have always been proud of y'all through the joy or the tears. But this time it was tears of joy when that last out was made!! Go Astros!! You have already made us proud, now go have fun!! You deserve it!!

Thats what im talking about...GO ASTROS!!!...for the late Mrs. CLemens, Bagwell, Biggio, and Ausmus....lets bring it home

I live in Nashville now after growing up in H-town. We made a trip down to Florida for spring training and also traveled to Cincinnati and St. Louis to root for the Astros this year. I'm thrilled for everyone in the Astros organization and the city of Houston! Y'all are a real class act! Good luck in the World Series!

Congratulations Astros! I really believe the team can go all the way here in 2005. Growing up in Port Arthur, I listened to many, many Astro's games on the radio called by Gene Elston and Loel Passe. My grandfather loved listening and seldom missed a game. I went with my family to our first Astro's game in 1965, the year the Dome opened. We went to a couple of games a year after that. My father enjoyed watching the team play on TV at his Port Arthur home for many years after I left home. I wish my dad and grandpa were here now to see the 2005 Astros! I'm in Fort Worth now and can't wait for the Series to start. My ten year old son has become a confirmed 'stros fan. Good luck to each and every member of the wonderful Astros ballclub. There is not a finer group in professional sports.

Go Astros, beat the Sox!

CONGRATULATIONS STROS!!!!

You guys rock! You've made Houston very proud! Thanks for all of your hard work and dedication. I can't wait till next week when we are celebrating the WORLD SERIES CHAMPION ASTROS!!!!!!

Thanks guys.Living in the middle of Cards/Cubs country it is a great vindication of my faith in you. You are the best.

Congratuations Astros!!!!!
I knew ya'll could do it from the beginning. The cool thing is that ya'lls success is a team effort, and thats what makes ya'll so awesome. Not only is Houston very proud of ya'll, but Abilene, TX. is too. I've lived in Houston since I was in fifth grade, and have been a die hard 'stros fan for a long time. Now I go to Hardin-Simmons University in Abilene and HSU and I are rooting for ya'll all the way. GO GET 'EM 'STROS. BRING HOME THE CHAMPIONSHIP.

Congratulations, Astros! I inherited my passion for you guys from my dad, and so I'd like to thank you for not making me wait quite as long he did to see you in the World Series. You all are the BEST(especially Burke & Backe!)!! Beat the Sox and DO IT FOR MILO!

Astros have the best team mentality of any professional sports team I've ever seen. You guys really are such a great bunch of guys--both on and off the field--I hope you guys really beat them white sox. Congratulations on winning the NL pennant! I'm behind you guys all the way!

This next comment is for Morgan Ensberg--It was great meeting you when I was shadowing Dr. Mehlhoff on that night when Bagwell hit a single in the bottom of the ninth to bring in Willy Taveras for the win over Milwaukee 2-1. You're a great player and keep up all the hard work!

Congradulations ASTROS I have been waiting for this moment my whole life. From being an Astro Buddy as a kid until now this is the greatest moment in ASTRO History. Take care of Buisness in Chicago. Champs 2005. Team of Destiny

GO ASTROS! from all the way out west in California.

I am so happy to see my lifelong team WIN the 2005 NL Championship and go to the World Series. So many years and so many great players, and a great city with great fans. Thanks to Bagwell and Biggion for hangin' tuff ... your dreams came true. It was awesome to meet you guy in El Paso several years back. And how can you beat the awesome pitching of Oswalt, Clemens, Pettitte, Backe ... the bullpin with Lidge, Qualls ... and Ausmus, Berkman, Burke, Lane, Lamb, Tavares, Brunlett, Everitt, Ensberg, and the rest. Congrats to Mr. McLane for being patient and knowing good things come to those who wait.

Let's beat the sox and have a real party in Texas!

well, I just have to say that I never gave up on believing in the whole team completely. In the first half of the season when things wern't looking so good, I said, the season ain't over until the last out is called at the end of the season. Now, just look at you guys, y'all deserve it, because the better team always does.GO ASTROS!!!!!!!

GO ASTROS!!!
I am a 46 year old New Orleans native and have been a fan since the 1960's. I have grown up as an Astros fan and have felt the heartaches of the years with everyone else. I was there in 1980 for the 3 extra inning playoff games against the Phillies. I am so excited for everyone past and present who have been a part of this team: the guys like Jose Cruz, Craig Reynolds, Denny Walling, Cesar Cedeno, Joe Sambito, and on and on. Being in New Orleans, we have never had a world champion in anything either (can you say Saints,Jazz,Hornets)so please win one for all of us fans on the Gulf Coast. We are so proud of how you guys stuck together. This is the classiest organization in the Majors, and you deserve this!! GOOD LUCK from New Orleans!!!

Please read Astros. On October 1, 2004 my nephew Matthew Montemayor, 17yoa, was one of the four high school students involved in a car accident on SH105 in Cleveland Tx. I watched him play baseball from a young man to high school. Tragically he was taken from our lives. I regret to say, prior to his death I watched MLB but was not to involved. After his funeral, one of his high school English teachers provided his father,(my brother) a report regarding his dreams and goals. On this paper we read one of his dreams was to become a MLB player and take the Houston Astros to the World Series. Last year our family payed so close attention to each and every game after dis death. This year the same. My baby Matthew, did what he set out to do from the Heavens above. Astros I have come to love watch you play and hope for nothing but the best for all of you. I wish I would have payed more attention to his interest when he was alive because I know he had a favorite Astro's player but I cant recall who. Good Luck, I will be watching along with all his other aunts, friends, and parents.
From New Fans and old fans

I would like to congratulate the National League Champion Houston Astros on a nearly complete 'dream season'. You made me look smart when I said the Astros would turn it around once Lance Berkman got back on track. With such stellar pitching and a resurging offense, how could it not be seen? I knew you had a chance to turn it around and make the playoffs. The media(Chronicle) blows! What do they know?(nada) See you in the World Series! Chris in Spring

After watching the game the other night and seeing them win the pennant, I was so happy that Jeff Bagwell and Craig Biggio would finally get to play in a World Series. Those 2...they deserve it so much. They have been faithful to the team, the fans, and the city. My admiration for those 2 guys is huge. Every one of the Astros will be in my prayers as they prepare for and play in the World Series. Bring the championship home, guys!!

We have the best ball players in the country, not to mention the best looking! I have to say that watching the Astros kick butt this postseason was more fun than years past! Way to make the Chronical eat their words!! Boys, keep looking hot while you make Chicago feel not so welcome in Houston!!

Congradulations from a long distance Astros Fan!

As a young kid obsessed with baseball growing up in the mountains of southwest Virginia the closest team to us was 5 hours south in Atlanta. So unlike alot of people with local teams to root for I had to decide who was "my" team. Our summer vacations were always spent in Atlanta watching the Braves, I'll never forget the game when I became an Astros fan.in the game we were watching a sharp ground ball was hit like a bullet to second Baseman Bill Doran who dove and made miraculous catch and then threw out the runner at first, at the time I was a second baseman on our little league team and that did it for me, the team with the flashy orange uniforms but had the tough, hard working ,and hard nosed players was "my team".Over the years guys we watched like Alan Ashby,Craig Reynolds,Bill Doran, and Nolan Ryan have exemplified the meaning of the word class and that tradition continues today with not just Biggio and Bagwell, but every member of the team.In the 20 or so years since then my family and I have taken countless trips to Atlanta and Cincinnati to see the Astros each year, and even got to go to a game in Houston in 2001, and I rarely miss a game on direct Tv.I just want the guys on the team to know how happy they have made this Astros fan and how proud I am of them.Nobody is more deserving in baseball to be in a World Series than Craig Biggio and Jeff Bagwell, they have represented the great spirit of this team and the city of Houston. We are VERY proud of the Astros no matter what the outcome but I know we WILL beat the White Sox.GO STROS!!

I have faith in " OUR " boys. I've cheered them on since I can remember. I know they WILL go all the way. Show the world what Houston has........THE BEST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Way to go Stros!!! Congrats on making it to the world series. I have been a long time fan it is great to see you guys in the world series you all deserve it.

What a great thing to happen for the Astros and the city of Houston. Good luck to the team in the World Series. This is the Astros year. I am from the small town of New Waverly, Tx 55 miles North on I-45. Believe me, everyone up here is talking Astros, Astros, Astros. They all believe! I have traveled to many a game over the last 30 (since I was 11 years old) years to see my team do this. I was there the Day Mike Scott pitched the no hitter in the Astrodome. I thought that was the greatest thing I had ever seen. Not any more - THIS IS THE BEST! GO ASTROS!
Shelly Allen - a lifelong fan

Wow ! What a ride ! From the highest high on Monday night when we thought we had it won, to the lowest low after Pujols decided he wasn't quite ready for the season to end for the Cardinals. And then finally the ultimate high for me that I have waited for, for so long. I wish I could have shared it with all the other thousands of fans of Houston at Minute Maid on Monday night but "we got er done". Now there is no more "Wait til next year !" I am so proud and happy for Biggio and Bagwell. They have been so devoted and loyal to the Astro Organization and Houston Fans and just real "class acts" and true inspirations for the youth of our town. Nobody deserves this Championship more and I just know we are going all the way ! HOUSTON ASTROS - WORLD CHAMPIONS 2005 !

As a life long Astros Fan, I tip my hat to the team. Bags and Biggio deserve this..thanks for your loyalty!

Eric

I was thrilled beyond belief that my faorite team, my Astros, the team I have cheered for since 1969 is finally in the World Series. For Biggio and Bagwell, I have to say thank you for your years in Houston and making this team what it is today. Its players like you two who define the word class. I an not wait till Saturday night when I get to watch MY favorite team playing for the World Series. It still sounds so crazy. Its unbelieveable... By God, if its a draen, dont wake me...

GO ASTROS.2005 NATIONAL LEAGUE CHAPIONS and 200 WORLD SERIES CHAMPIONS!!!!!!!!!!

Congratulations on a great regular season, and so far an unforgettable post-season. This year has been so awesome. Everyone has stepped up huge.
Im just so excited for Bagwell and Biggio who finnaly get to play in the big series. You have both played for the Stros for more years than i have as a person which i find is unbelievable.i was at the game when Bagwell hit the game winning pinch hit single and i was so pumped. And i used to play second base and i would always model my play exactly after his. Im so happy for all you guys, not just the players but also the coaches, and the whole organazation. With the best 3 man pitching rotation in the history of the league and the best closer in the game i think its yalls to win.So finish it off, and bring home the title of the MLB's best team home to the Astros clubhouse

"BEES"t of Luck GO Astros!!!!!!!

Men, You make me proud to have been a fan for 43 years. I actually teared up the other night. It has been worth the wait for me as well as every other Astro's fan. This has to be the best TEAM effort I have ever seen. Now just go out and finish the job in Chicago. You can do it, Texas can help.

good luck astros, the world serie, wait for you, we will be the champions.

Hey Astros - way to go! I've been to many games at (Enron) Minute Maid Park but now I can only watch you on TV from the desert in Arizona. Always been an Adam Everett fan and have added Chris Burke to my favorites lineup along with all the other B's. The Texas COPs (Clemens, Oswalt, Pettitte) will handcuff the Chicago gangsters!

Growing up in Los Angeles I learned from Tommy Lasorda that you only got to heaven by being a Dodger fan. I have lived in Texas for the past 15 years. I never thought I would root for another team, but here we are...everyone in our family cheers for the ASTROS all of the time. We were at Minute Maid Park when you clinched the Wild Card, and again for the 18 inning history making game. Each time, screaming till we were voiceless. We truly love all of you. Each of you are truly "class acts". The veterans make a significant contribution which cannot be measured in dollars, only in tenacity, drive, heart & soul. The younger players provide the "no-fear attitude," and all exhibit the heart of champions. Our new little granddaughter born on the day you clinched the NL Pennant is nicknamed "KB," because as a baby, she is a Killer Bee too. Remember, Tommy Lasorda may be right - you only get to heaven by being a Dodger fan - but by being an Astro fan - we are in heaven now - baseball heaven!!!!! THANK YOU ASTROS - WE BEE-LIEVE.....

Good luck team, God bless all of you and thanks for this incredible season. I will be in Houston for our 3 home games, cheering my team to victory. LET'S BRING HOME
THE TROPHY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I BEE-LIEVE!!!!!!!!!!!!

GEORGE GULAS

The chemistry that the team has with each outher is astounding but the chemistry that the entire Astros organization has with the fans of Houston and the rest of America is flabbergasting. Win or lose, you will always have our respect and admiration. We will be there 'till death do us part, good and bad times. We love you!! Kill the Sox!

I live in St. Louis but have been a die-hard Astros fan since 1998..(thanks to Moises Alou) Anyways, I have gone crazy over Craig Biggio, Bagwell and the rest of the team... Biggio and Bagwell deserve this... I know u all can get it done....

Congrats to Houston and all fans... hope you bring it home for the NL- METS in '06

What a ride! Congrats guys - please finish this one off, especially for Bidge and Bags - i'll be coming down from Alberta, Canada next year to watch a few games - and I hope to see that World Series banner flying high!!!

GUYS, WORDS CAN'T DESCRIBE HOW I FELT AFTER THE LAST OUT WAS MADE WEDNESDAY NIGHT. I ACTUALLY CRIED FROM JOY AND HAPPINESS. NOT BEING FROM HOUSTON, BUT FROM NASHVILLE TN.,I THOUGHT THIS NIGHT WOULD NEVER COME. MY ENTIRE LIFE REVOLVES AROUND YOU GUYS AND THE ASTROS ORGANIZATION. MY 23 YEARS OF BEING AN ASTROS FAN, WAS WORTH THE WAIT, TO SEE YOU GUYS MAKE IT TO THE WORLD SERIES. I'M SO PROUD OF ALL OF YOU AND ALL THAT YOU HAVE ACCOMPLISH. NOTHING WOULD BE BETTER THAN TO SEE THE NEWSPAPER HEADLINES:

HOUSTON ASTROS 2005 WORLD SERIES CHAMPIONS!!!!!!!!

BRING THE TROPHY HOME 'STROS!

The Astros had to win on Wed. #44 -- Roy O -- hurled them into the World Series after 44 seasons of trying to get there. It was his 44th win over a two-season span and his game to win.

I just want to say CONGRATS! To the Astros and thier fans! I am a DIEHARD CARDINALS FAN. But the Astros played great ball. I am also a beer vendor at Busch stadium. And was there this year and last. You guys always give us trouble. And the Astros wanted it more. Now just do it to the Sox!!!!!!!!! Good Luck and bring THE SERIES BACK TO HOUSTON.

WAY TO GO ASTROS ! I AM FROM TRIER, GERMANY AND I USED TO WATCH THE ASTROS ALL THE TIME WHEN I USED TO LIVE IN HOUSTON ! OSWALT IS THE REAL DEAL ! MAKE IT HAPPEN ONCE AGAIN ROY ! MAX

Jose,

Along with Bidge & Bags, nobody deserves it more than you. As a 40 yr fan, I've felt your disappointment over the years - congratulations, and have fun winning the whole deal.

The first pro game I ever saw was in the 'Dome in 1980...I was 8 years old. Jose Cruz Sr. hit a 3 run HR to left that day to beat the Cubs 4-1 and Joe Niekro pitched a great game. I've been a fan since I was 7 and haved bled for the Astros since. Enos, Juaquin, Dickie Thon, Glenn Davis, The Express, Joe Sambito, Art Howe and his face protector, Jose Sr, J.R. (The world was robbed of seeing what could have wound up being the best power pitcher ever)...all those gentlemen and many more. Being from Buffalo NY originally and living in Ft Myers, Florida now for many years...know you have a die hard here breathing with you and behind you all the way...I met a bunch of the guys earlier this year in Kissemmee,Florida and ALL of them were truly kind and generous---Thank-you in particular to Jose Sr...meeting you and the time you spent talking to me only made me love you guys and admire you all the more...Win or lose you guys are Champions as MEN first---now go bring home the hardware...To a relieved heart seeing you finally getting what you (and us fans) deserve, Chris Korby.....Bigs, Bags, Roy, Fat Elvis and all you guys...GET'EM!

I want to congradulate the houston astros on their magnificant win. Our 4th Brigade Combat Team's 3rd Battalion here in Al Jabar, Iraq...watched game six. The whole unit erupted in cheer as the Astros got the last out. Our unit is from fort hood, texas...and we have many family members living in houston. We have NL CHAMPS shirt being mailed to us soon...and i hope we get world series champs in the coming weeks too. Good Luck Astros. May God bless the astros pitchers and hitters in the MLB World Series.

CONGRATULATIONS to the entire Astros team. I am so very proud of each & every one of you. It has been an emotional ride for each of you & for myself as well. I know that you guys are going to bring home the VICTORY !! You all play w/such heart & you not only do it for each other but you do it for the fans as well & we Thank You & we couldn't be more proud of each & every one of you. I am proud to be a Houstonian & that your guys are our home team, we couldn't ask for a better baseball club !! Much Love & Thanks to all of you,

4 is our magic number, go Astros, win it all, make those 44 years worth it, I feel sorry for Beltran, he didn't want to be a part of our Killer Bees, he will enjoy it from his couch at his home in NY (shame on him) Go Astros!!!!!!!

Congrats guys and to the organization. It is so nice to be a fan of such a classy group of men. It is easy support a team that does things the right way. I was there for the last game in the dome,I was there for series losses to Atlanta twice, I was there for Randy's first start and also gm 1 loss to SD that same year, I was there for the WC clincher the last two years and all of the weekend playoff games for the last two years. Thanks for the memories and Good Luck. This has been a great ride. Big/Bags/Brad thanks for sticking with us. You guys deserve it. Have fun and good luck. I know I speak for a lot of other folks here in St. Louis: GO KICK SOME SOX BUTT!!! St. Louis loves our Cardinals, but I also know that St. Louis just loves good baseball. You guys definitely had our number, this year. Take it all the way for us and seeya next Spring!

Dear dream-bats'n'balls,
thank you for the memories you have made, the memories of now and the memories to come. Goodluck we are all behind you, with our lucky items in trail (We even know a friend with a lucky couch :)... ) This year will be extra special for us, as it was the year you went to the world series and the year our wonderul son was born. You dominated the game the other night, keep it up. We BEE-LIEVE.....

Congratulations Astros! Y'all make such a great team.
As my husband and I watched the game on Wednesday, I noticed that something about his attire wasn't quite right. When I figured it out, I laughed and asked him, "Babe, are you aware that you boxers are inside-out?" I could tell by the look on his face that he wasn't, but he played it off nicely. He looked at me and slowly said, "Yeah. They're... uh... rally boxers!"

Thought the team and some fans might appreciate that tale.

I won't wish the team luck in the World Series, because I don't feel that they need it. Just keep playing like y'all have been and I know you will succeed. Congrats again!

GO ASTROS...I have a serious passion for Astros baseball, and always will. I guess it's true when they say good things come to those who wait. You just gotta "bee-lieve" To Jeff and Craig, thanks for helping to make this team become who they are today. The most awesome thing is being able to share all this with my son. Best of luck guys.

Major Kudos guys...finally all my years of watching y'all I'm glad to see y'all make it!!! You guys did it with heart and grit and doing what you needed to do to get the job done, I was a fan before and I'll be a fan after this, but know this...y'all are the team I love!!!

GO MY BOYS!!!!!!!!! I KNEW YOU COULD DO IT!!!!!!

Go Astros!!!!!!

Ya'll are awesome, and I know you can go all the way.

To Berkman, you are on my computer and the girl I work with and I are REALLY big fans of yours!!!!!!!!! Keep bringing in the HR's for us!

Also, I live in Livingston, Tx.

As a faithful fan that attended games when you were on the 15-30 streak and continued to attend up through that amazing 18 inning marathon against the Braves, I am soooo proud of this team! They did it without the "big" bats that we "let get away". They did it with good old fashioned TEAM WORK. I know you will thrive and excel on the world stage you are about to enter. Keep playing it a game at a time and I know you will come out on top. I love you guys!

Congrats! To Adam Everett...my son is at U. of S. Carolina and they are plannng a watch party!
Go 'Stros

GO ASTROS!!! Y'all are the GREATEST!!! I love and bee-lieve in y'all!

I was alone in my living room when you won, I screamed and then I cried when bags and biggio hugged each other, I am so happy for both of you and the team. If you notice my e-mail address is bagscv for bagwell, I love you and good luck! "Go Stros".

I heard it said from many of those interviewed after we won the pennant that this one was "for the fans". Thank you so much for saying that. As a 40+ year fan from PA I appreciate it. I would like to dedicate this championship to all the past Astros teams and players who tried so hard. This one's for ALL OF YOU!!

Way to go Astros. Just think you guys are gonna be WORLD CHAMPIONS before the Texans win their first game this season.

We going all the way! Go
Astros. Biggio, Bagwell this ones for you, Beltran, where the **** are you?

We couldn't be happier for all of you and for the Houston area.

I also want to thank you for setting a great example of "doing it the right way."

I work with a youth sports organization, and you have given us proof of what we always try to teach:

*You worked hard;

*You never quit;

*You believed in yourselves when others didn't.

*You exemplified great sportsmanship, and

*You exemplified teamwork.

Thanks for the examples that will make a difference in lives for years to come.

I am a Texan through and through and I love this team so much words cant explain. The team has so many Texas connections and many that arent from hear have been here forever. There are no cocky attitudes just ball players that take care of business. My prize possesion is my Craig Biggio Rookie Card, I love that guy! I will be cheering til the end W or L! I definitely live for this! Thanks, Jennifer

Way to go Astros! Houston is so excited for you! Play hard in Chicago...we can't wait to get yall back home...let's win this! You have angels with you all the way...Ryan Tomlinson and Adrian Salazar...2 of your biggest fans who would be so happy to see this happening for the Astros! I know they are with you in spirit and will have the best seat in the house every night....LET'S GO 'STROS!!

-Summer in Houston

Gosh, I love everyone of you guys so much, I will continue to always believe in you, as I always have. I have never given so much support to so many men at one time, but you guys make me so proud, and make every moment worth it. I look forward to seeing you Swing for the Ring...and accepting that Ring with Pride!! I am so excited about "MY GUYS." Brandon Backe, you just keep up with the cheering section....you catch us all on fire with your enthusiasm. TALENT RULES!! GO STROS!!

Way to go, Astros!

I'm a native Houstonian now living in St. Louis. It was so hard being here in Cardinal Nation last year after Game 7 of the NLCS, but now I'm the happy fan. I've been an Astros fan since they were the Colt .45s. I've lived through so many disappointments. And this victory is so sweet!

Congratulations to all of the players on being National League Champions!! Keep it up, guys! Four more wins!!!!!

GO ASTROS!!!!!!

I am so proud of all of you. I see the way y'all play as a team, and I see the way you portray yourselves with media...and I really do think God has blessed Houston with an AMAZING group of guys. I've been praying for y'all, and so far He's said "yes!". Burke said "The best way to make God laugh is to tell Him your plans". Well, I can't wait to see the surprises He has for y'all next week! :-)

THANK YOU ASTROS!

Go ASTROS!!!

The Houston Astros have class. They are true sportsmen. From the very top to the very bottom each person gave his all. They believed in themselves and in each other. They didn't play into the media hype. Each member did their part to ensure the sucess of the team, as shown in the 18 inning game. These men put their heart into the game and they WON! They have given a new meaning to the game of baseball. Congratulations for a job well done. The Astros are definetly a team to contend with. All I can say is the Sox won't know what hit 'em! Thanks guys! Susan, Conroe, TX

Congratulations! I grew up in Houston. I vividly remember 1980, and I was there in 1986. I remember when Biggio and Bagwell joined the team!

I moved to Florida 15 years ago, but have remained a loyal fan. Kissimmee is close by, so I can go see the good guys at Spring Training.

I was so distraught after Monday night's loss, that on the way to the bus stop on Wednesday morning, my nine year old son, Kenny, looked up and saw the full moon and one last star. He said, "Mom, I wished on the last star, and I wished that the Astros will win tonight!" As soon as he woke up on Thursday morning, he asked "Did the Astros win?" I told him his wish had come true! (Ours, too, along with every other lifelong Astros fan)

He was born in Florida and has never been to an Astros game, but is a fan thanks to Mom and Dad. My husband coaches his little league team and they are always the Astros. He proudly wears No. 7.

Thanks for a great season, and great memories. We'll be watching and rooting for the Astros all the way! Only wish it could be in person. Have any tickets, guys? I know it will be a great Series! GO TEAM and bring it home!

How do I convey how thrilled I am for "my Astros." I have been a fan since the beginning and I have lived and died with our wins and losses. My hope and prayer was for Bagwell and Biggio to get to go to the World Series and here we are!! At work everyone keeps reminding me how much I could sell my World Series tickets for and I have to keep telling them "You just don't understand, I have to be there." Good Luck to all the Astros and I still believe.

ST. LOUIS CARDINALS FAN

Well, not much left to say except congratulations. I have been waiting for this for so long. I have had no sleep in about two weeks and I am so emotionally drained, I feel like I just won the lottery. I know ya'll will go and do your best against Chicago and I will be right there watching every moment.

Forget Beltran this team loves each other and has so much chemistry. We do not need someone who is in it just for the money. He did not do that great with the Mets anyway.

Andrea

Congratulations Astros on your awesome win. I grew up with the Astros since the beginning. Rusty Stubb was my favorite player then. All of you are now. Best of luck in the World Series. I will be watching from here in Minnesota.

As a Kid I went to Houston Buffalo's games. Watched the Colt 45's develop into the Astros. Followed the team during NAM, but afterwards moved north of the Mason Dixon Line. When I had a chance went to games in NY and Philly. Was even in Philly on Labor Day and saw a WIN. While Lidge was in the pen hopefully he would remember someone hollering above him to take a win home.CONGRATULATIONS TO THE ENTIRE TEAM !!!!!! Someone Please take a survey of Fans by state to see how far we are scattered.

Go Astro's - this coming from a life long Cub fan - may the killerB's put a big sting into those White Sox! See you guys next year on the field!!!!!!!!!!!

What is there NOT to love about the Stros...they play the game,"Our Great Pastime", as we Americans and Texans know it.
They play our fabulous great past time with a lot of class and with tremendous amount of passion! Go Stros! WIN the World Series!

Cedeno , Art Howe, E Cabelle , A Ashby, T Puhl C Reynolds, J Morgan and J Niekro win the West to the September 25, 1986 - Mike Scotts division winning NO HITTER and the 1 a way from from going last year after J Kent hit the winning HR. And best of all , My 10yr old son was the first to call me on my cell saying "DID YOU SEE IT DAD, YES" Thanks ASTROS. WORLD SERIES 2005 !!!

Congratulations guys! You deserve it, especially Bagwell and Biggio. It's been a long time but worth the wait!

GO STROS!!

Thanks guys! What else can I say. Thanks! Thanks Craig. Thanks Jeff. I am really happy for you guys especially. Bring it home guys!

"CONGRATULATIONS!"
You guys deserve it. I'm from Nashville, TN and been a fan of the Astros' for 5 years. I enjoy coming to Houston once or twice a year to see you play. I watch you play on television when I can. I also have the Astro logo tattoo on my chest. I love the entire team, but I have my favorite player "Lance Berkman." He's posted on one wall in my bedroom. As for the Manger Phil Gardner, he knows how to we do it in Tennessee. Chris Burke being a UT graduate, you also know how to get the job done. Keep up the good job.

GOOD LUCK in the World Series and bring home the Championship Title.

well, hi there and congrats to the astros for making it to the big dance. i guess you'd say i am the enemy, because i'm a die hard sox fan, and have been since '59. i just wanted to check out your blog, and i must say you are all well mannered and polite and respectful of the sox. this is refreshing after what we sox fans have endured on our blog from indians fans then bosox, then angels. you guys are a class act, so are the sox. good luck and may the better team win what will be a very competitive series. j.k. in tucson....

i just wanna say CONGRATS to the Astros fans and Astros players, this has been a year that i will never forget, it started rough but as we all found out, "even the best fall down but get right back up" and finish with a strong blow. ones again thanks for a great year and if I happen to die this year I will die a very happy person.

I've been a fan of Houston baseball since back in the days of the Colt .45s. Back in February at the Texas Sports Hall of Fame ceremonies in Waco, I told Jeff, Craig and Mr. McLane that I really felt this was going to be "our year." Bee-lieve it or not, now it IS! I'm hoping for a World Series championship, but even if that doesn't happen, my thanks to the entire team and Astros organization for a great season and for never giving up hope! (Guess y'all really showed the Houston Chronicle what you're made of, huh?!)

Congratulations Astros!! I've been a fan since the 70's and this is your year. It would have been sweet to have won Monday but maybe it's sweeter how you did it. Was a great feeling standing in line at Academy with my daughter after the game to buy our t-shirts and 18 wheelers driving by honking -- great time for Houston -- thanks for the memories and go all the way to clinch the World Series --- you are a 1st class team!!

Dear NL Champs!

My it feels great to say that! Saw my first game as an 8-year-old in August 1964 in old Colt Stadium and have been rooting for the Colts/Astros ever since. I now live near Washington, D.C., but my heart is still with the Stros. Do us proud once more in the World Series!

Congratulations!! Born in Houston, but having to live in Ohio, I have followed the 'Stros for many years, and have been waiting for this moment a long time. It has been an AWESOME year, and I hope it will continue with 4 more wins!
GO ASTROS!!!!

I have been watching this team for as long as I can remember, first with my dad and grandfather and later with my closest friends. I can't tell you what this means to me personally and to Houston as a city. Biggio and Bagwell deserve their chance in the Big Show but they couldn't have made it without the help of everyone else. I love you guys, all of you and will be faithfully watching you in our first ever World Series.

How Sweet it is! Love ya 'Stros!

ARE YOU READY??? **** YES,***** RIGHT... OLE MISS IS CHEERING FOR THE ASTROS...

Hotty Toddy! GO STROS!

You guys are so deserving of this Championship!!! I've been involved with Little League baseball and softball with both my son and daughter. What we have always stressed to them is teamwork. The Houston Astros are teamwork personified!!! Thank you so much for all of the exciting games and for being true heros of the sport. We love you all - Astros fan for life!!!

OH HAPPY DAY!!!! I am female, grew up in inner-city Houston. Parents, both 81 years old now, had season tix to the 45's and then to the Astros until 1990 when they moved out of the area. I grew up running up and down the stadium aisles. I had a crush on Larry Dierker when he was a hot 19 yr. old pitcher playing golf with Gene Elston out at Sharpstown. My daughter and son have grown up idolizing Biggio and Bagwell, even though we are from the Austin area. I have hoped, prayed, cursed, cried, shrugged my shoulders, kicked the dog, adopted an "I don't care" attitude. I can finally LEAP FOR JOY and HOWL AT THE MOON!!!! This club is going ALL THE WAY TO BECOME WORLD CHAMPIONS! There is not a more-deserving franchise! Thanks, guys! You've made this fan very, very happy!

BRAD AUSMUS AND THE ATROS - AWESOME!!! WAY TO GO GUYS.
CONGRATS ON THE NL CHAMPIONSHIP AND GOOD LUCK IN THE WORLD SERIES.

THANKS FOR AN EXCITING SEASON AND FOR WHAT WE KNOW WILL BE A FANTASTIC ENDING, WITH THE ASTROS AND TEXAS COMING OUT ON TOP.

GO ASTROS!!!!

LAURA

What exciting playoffs! Thought after the 18 inning game there would not be anything to top that, but game 6 was awesome after the disappointment in game 5. It has been great to watch as we are Express season ticket holders since they started, so it is like we know half the team. Now, BEAT THE SOX!

Clemens you da bomb

Clemens you own

Congrats ASTROS !! We finally made it. I've been following the ASTROS here in West Texas since 1968. I LOVE ALL of you soooo much!!!! GO STROS GO!!!!!! Let's Do It.!!

Unbelieveable-this is so great! My husband began listening to the Colt 45's forty years ago and has followed the Astros all along. Sadly, he passed away in January of this year and it's too bad he didn't get to see this happen, he would have been so proud of the Astros. We're behind you guys and look forward to the World Series with the Astros!

GUYS, I LOVE YA!!! YOU ARE SUPER. This is a well-deserved position for the wonderful group of guys on our team. The team pulled together and it was so evident and why not, they're all bees!! I only wish my Mother could have lived to see it. But, I know she's dancing in Heaven.
GOOD LUCK, ASTROS!!!

When I was 10 (1986) I got sick and sent home from school. My mom was out of town so her friend took me home and was going to stay there until my dad got there. I got on the couch and my mom’s friend started to watch soap operas. I was upset that my mom wasn’t there and didn’t want to watch soaps. But then, out of nowhere, my Uncle Ross came right inside my house and looked at my mom’s friend and said, “I can take care of it from here. You can leave. I’m family.” My Uncle looked at me and winked and she got up to leave. Ross thanked her for her help and walked her to the door. As soon as she left he looked at the TV and said, “Lets see how the Astros are doing”. I Love The Astros- Great Job

I feel as though we've already won! Just beating the Braves is winning a series in my book! I've watched you since I was a little girl and my handle on ebay is Houstonastorsgirl. I couldn't be prouder or happier! Every year on opening day I tell anybody who will listen to me that MY Stros are going to win the pennant. To whoever stole my magnetic Astros star off the back of my car... I was RIGHT!

Praying for you to keep the faith, and know that we are cheering you on to victory. We are so proud of our "Astrodos" as our son called you when he was little.

We love you...good luck!!!

Congrats Astros, I am a SOX fan, but i am happy for u guys, our team didn't go to the world series since 1959, and ur team have never been there, so i think it is gonna be an exciting series... Can't wait to see game one, Go Astros, but for me GO SOX..

THANKS 2005 ASTROS!! for a great year. I became an avid Astro fan in 1972 when I was 29 years old. My dream that year was to see the Astros in a World Series.
I never gave up and here we are. It's like a dream come true.

We watch all 162+ games every year and attend as many as we can.

This year has brought me the dream come true of a lifetime.

I will watch every pitch on the edge of my chair, pace the floor, hold my breath, and cry tears of joy.

Win or lose you will still be my beloved Astros!!!!

But for my hearts sake

PLEASE WIN.

Congratulations Astros! You guys have come so far, and I know that you can go all the way. The whole team contributed in this magnificent season proving that faith and hard work creates a winning team. I'm so happy that after all these years, the Astros, mostly Biggio and Bagwell, finally get to go to a World Series. Good luck to everyone on the Astros organization. Never give up!

Congrats Stros! A well deserved feat accomplished by an extradorinary baseball team and organization!! Good luck in the World Series! I reside in Atlanta but my heart will always be with Houston and the Stros since HOUSTON, TEXAS is where I was born and raised!

Only one year ago, I jumped on the bandwagon to support the Astros in the 04 NLCS. I became a huge fan and have kept up the entire season. I went to many games this year including the 18inning marathon which I thought was the best game of my life. However, I was wrong. The best day of my life was October 19, 2005 when for the first time in history, my team won the NLCS and moved on to play in the World Series. No team deserves this more than the Astros, and I hope you all take it all the way!!! I love you all!! See you at Minute Maid for game 4! Yea baby! I got tickets!

i just want to congratulate the houston astros, i stuck with them when they fell 15 games under when everyone was doubting, i knew from game one that they would have a great year, WILLIE T DEFINATLY IS THE ROOKIE OF THE YEAR, NOW LET GO WHEN THE WORLD SERIES STROS!!!!!!!!!

Congratulations Guys!!! Bring on the White Sox!! Let's prove to everyone that the Astros are capable of winning the World Series. I'm tired of hearing the media say the Astros won't be able to do it (then again, that might be good luck, since they also said we couldn't beat the braves nor the cards!!!) Let's go Astros, let's go!! I'm counting on you guys!!!! Love Ya :-)

We have faith!! We know you will bring the championship home to Houston where it belongs!!! Go ASTROS!!!!!
Chad, Jennifer & Dylan Langley

Watched the Astros win their 1st national league pennant, and the post game interviews by Biggio, Bagwell, Berkman, Oswalt, Garner, and others reveal the class within the Astros’s organization. As a native Houstonian, I have never been more proud!

Congratulations, and “Thank You” for providing one of the most exciting baseball seasons I have ever had the privilege to witness! Best of luck in the World Series!

Gary Shepley

Congratulations! I am very proud. Through the years I have put up with non-believers, but now they have come along. Back in the day, as a kid, I cried along with my idol Jose Cruuuuuuz when the Stros lost against the Phillys. Lets take it all the way. P.S. Beltran Who?

I've been an ASTRO fan sense the first pitch was made in OLD COLT 45 STADIUM and saw many games over the past 44yrs. This by far was the best for me.
We WILL BEAT THE " GO GO WHITE SOX !!!!!!!

Congratulation ASTROS on A GREAT GREAT YEAR and bring us A WORLD SERIES CHAMPIONSHIP to the DEEP SOUTH ( TEXAS ).

Steve R. Benavides

Congratulations, Houston Astros! I never gave up on you, and you never let me down. What a season! I STILL can't stop smiling! We girls went on a road trip to Chicago a couple of years ago with the Houston Astro bubblegum-blowing ballplayer head on our car's antenna and Astro decals on our car windows and bumpers...wonder if Chicago remembers us? If not, I know YOU guys will make them remember the Houston Astros---National League Champions for 2005!! Take it all the way...but I'll love ya either way!!! Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU!!!

Praise the Lord!!!! I have been waiting 36 years for this.

I am from Honduras, Central America and live in La Ceiba, Honduras. When I was 17 years old (31 years ago) I went to school at Louisiana State University and I inmediately
became an Astros fan.

Since then I have been pulling for the team to be in a World Series and finally my dream and the dream of thousands of Astros fans became a reality.

I want to thank one an each of everyone of the Houston Astros players for giving us a beautiful highlight in our lives as fans of the great Houston Astros team.

HERE'S MY ODE TO ASTROS!

I dreamed of going to the World Series

Since a child—wishing to the Tooth Fairy

With ironic twist, the dream has died

For in Astros triumph, fantasy hides

I have no tickets—no real hope to go

No hope to see, to cheer, to at last crow

When my vision fades and my hair goes gray

I’ll remember these wished for heady days

Way to go, Astros!!!
We love you guys!!!!

We knew you could do it! We never gave up on ya'll, not this year, not last year, never. It was bound to happen, and this is the team to do it. We're going all the way! Couldn't have happened to a better bunch of guys. Can't wait till next season, so we can do it all over again!

First of all i would like to say that i think you guys are just great, no matter if you had made the world series or not, you have a fan for life in me either way.... I think that you are the best group of guys that i have ever had the previlege to see play the game.... I was lucky enough to go to the first home playoff game with the freak of nature, Roger " the ROCKET" Clemens(you are so awesome rocket)on the mound, and that will be one of the best memories, that i will keep with me for life..
Secondly, i would like to say that you guys dont ever get the credit you deserve in my opinion, y'all are just amazing to watch and i look forward to many more years of the entertainment and nail bitting, edge of the seat, down to the last minute excitment that you guys provide to your fans.....GO STROS

I remember about 14 years ago watching the Astros play at the Astrodome and I thought the Astros are awesome, and I was right. I wish you guys the best because all of you deserve it. The team worked hard and it has paid off!!! What a TERRIFIC job indeed. When things got tough you held your heads up high, you kept your FAITH and you BELIEVED in yourselves. That is totally awesome. You showed everyone what the Astros are really made of and I and very proud. All your fans have the greatest faith in you and you will go out there and make us proud. The team has been in my prayers and they will continue to be in my prayers. God bless the Astros!!! Congratulations on going to the World Series. The Astros is a team that truly deserves it!! Go get 'em!!!

Lubbock, TX. Born and raised in Houston but going to law school in Lubbock.

I am a long time Astro fan from Boston. Me and my father have had 20 game mini season tickets to minute maid park for the last 3 years. The first game we went to this year was Clemens first game on friday during opening week in april. Clemens pitched a good game and we won. My dad was real pumped up for the stros this year after seeing our beloved red sox won the world series last year. his first words were " I can die happy now". after boston won last year.
The tuesday following the clemens game we went to my father was playing golf with some friends and had a heart attact and passed away. I went to every game we had tickets to this year by my self and left his seat empty for every game except for 1 game that my brother came to see with me. I wish that he was still here today to see the astros win the NL. I was at the NLCS game 5 in houston and i was sure that my dad was there with us until pujols ripped our hearts out in the ninth inning. then after the game i talked to my brother and he reminded me that my dad use to travel to St. Louis alot for buisness. He would go to many games at Busch stadium and he said that he really liked that stadium and more than likely wanted to see one more game at Busch where the astros would close it out with a NL pennent. I am sure that he will be with us during the world series and will help bring home the big dance. He was a true Astros fan and still is.

What a GREAT TEAM effort, no other team deserves this more!!

What a great ride it has been for me, I have waited for this since sitting on the infield of the Astrodome with Joe Morgan as my Astro Buddy in the late '60's!!!

We have no doubt you will take out the Sox's!!!!

To the entire Astro organization, THANK YOU!!!!!

ASTROS ROCK!!!

I'm writing from Arlington, VA along with 4 other ASTROS fans. We are native TEXANS and consider Houston our home. We've been fans of the ASTROS long before we moved to Houston.

No matter how long or how far we're away from TX, we always keep up with the team. We saw them play the NATS here and had a great time with other ASTROS fans stopping by our tailgate party.

I was lucky enough to purchase 4 SRO tickets for a game; 4 out of 5 of here will be able to attend. Even if I don't get to go, my heart, hopes and prayers are with all the team. You deserve it, Houston deserves it. Good Luck.

I WANTED TO SAY THAT BELTRAN COULD HAVE NEVER BEEN A KILLER BEE, HE JUST DOESNT HAVE THE STUFF. THE ONLY REASON HE DID SO WELL IS BECAUSE HE WAS PLAYING WITH WINNERS...

ALSO, I KNOW HE IS A DODGER NOW, BUT I LOVE LOVE LOVE JEFF KENT( BUT I GOTTA SAY BIGGIO,YOUR NOT A BAD 2ND BASEMEN, LOL)

AUSMUS YOU ARE AS GOODLOOKING AS YOU ARE INTELLIGENT(AND WE ALL KNOW YOUR ARE A SMARTY).

BIGGIO AND BAGGY, YOU DONT NEED ME TO TELL YOU GUYS THAT YOU DESERVE THIS YEAR LIKE NO OTHER TWO PLAYERS EVER HAVE, YOU HAVE EARNED EVERY SECOND OF IT....

AND BEFORE I SIGN OFF, AGAIN,(LOL) I HAD TO SIGN BACK ON AND SAY :::COME ON CLEMENS , YOU KNOW YOU LOVE US , AND YOU KNOW WE LOVE YOU, HOWS ABOUT ANOTHER SEASON::::: I FIGURED I WOULD GIVE IT A SHOT LOL.....DONT LEAVE US ROCKET, WE LUB YA!!!!!!!!

I have been an astros fan since I was old enough to know what baseball was. It was just natural I love baseball, I live in Houston, I love the Houston Astros. I remember when I was 7 I was jealous cause my brother and I started playin ball at Northwest 45 off the toll road in Spring. He was an Astro and I was a Twin. I was so angry. But I became a Kirby Puckett fan. Well now Im not a little boy anymore. Im 22 and Im a member of the United States Navy. I miss Texas, its my homeland. But I have a job to do. I came home in September and my mother called one of the clear channel stations, and asked if they had anything free to give away for her son in the military. I ended up getting free bullpen Tickets to the brewers game. I took my brother. He's always been a fan too. It was great it was our first time to hang out just the 2 of us since before he joined the navy. Well he's out now and got 2 kids so its hard for us to just kick it together. I got to watch Jeff Bagwell come off the bench and hit a game winning single to score Willie Tavares. Man he's got wheels, and Bags will always have that bat. It was a bonding moment I will never forget my brother and I having. The night ya'll won the NLCS. I was here at a pool hall watching the game. He called me almost crying we were both so excited. My job is not the easiest in the world but noone's really is. But through all the stress when u have a chance to cool down you take advantage of it. These last two years have been so exciting for me come the fall. My only beef is that ya'll had to wait till after I joined the Navy to go to the series. I joke with my LCPOs, My LPOs, and other guys at work. When its work time we have to respect rank. But when baseball starts comin up rank goes out the window. Im a stros fan through and through and they all tell me I have blind faith. Anyway I just wanted to say life is filled with work work and more work. But watching the stros keep it goin keeps my spirits up. Its definately a treat. Congradulations to the entire organization. But for me a special congrats goes to Biggio and Bagwell. Noone on that roster deserves it more than you. You have been my favorites since I was a little boy. I can't believe you actually did it. The whole team is playing great. The young guys are coming up big and the veterans are doin what they have always done. We have a sayin on my ship. Actually its the ships motto. "We Stick Together". The entire roster has lived by that all season long, or at least since the turn around. Well from my standpoint they have. Thanks for givin me somethin to brag about. I can't wait to see ya'll hoist that world series trophy. Good Luck, and GO STROS.

Sincerely,

ETSN Herrera

I would just like to say that i have grown up watching baseball since i was a little girl being raised with all brothers and even though I never really understood what was going on I loved it and even to this day I still love watching baseball, just now I'm an Astros Bee-liever through and through.Even without championships or the world series, I think the Astros are a WONDERFUL team and Biggio and Bagwell deserve it for waiting soooooo long to go, but without the wonderful and powerful pitching team and the great defense and offense too they wouldnt have it. Thank you Stros for a wonderful summer and finally making it to the world series and for bringing it back home to Houston!!! I'm Bee-lieving in y'all going all the way. Good luck to everyone because y'all deserve it and it has been long overdue. Oh, and congrats Oswalt on winning the MVP!!!! I love each and everyone of y'all because you have shown the world what true sportsmanship is like and what working as part of a team means by the way everyone has a part to play on the team.....bring it home boys!!!!!!! I'll be watching from Port Arthur, TX and still bee-lieving

From a devoted Braves fan, I wish you guys the best of luck in the WS as you represent the better league! :)

Thanks, to all y'all for a great season! The balance of Bagwell, Biggio, Clemmens, Pettit, and the young fellas has made a great team! You have brought many enjoyable hours to us. We are in the Hurricane Rita area and still working to recover. We will definitely enjoy the break as we watch our ASTROS WIN the biggest one of all. Thanks for your long hours and hard work during this special year.
p.s. Give your families our love and appreciation also.

I BEE-LIEVE and have from the start. I was interviewed by Randy McIlvoy in Kissimmee on opening day of Spring Training, and I made the comment - seen by all my friends at home in Houston - that I could not wait for the season to get started as I just knew it was going to be a great one! I was right! Y'all are awesome and I am so proud to be an Astros fan. I was there for the heartbreaker on Monday against the Cards - but that was a minor blip on the radar screen. You have been through so much this year and come out on top again and again. I BEE-LIEVE you have 4 more wins in you - go Astros!

Carole in Montgomery TX

Astros, this is your year and this season has been a real gift for Astros fans. The wait was too long but the time is really here and a great time has proven itself to be champions.

To old heroes and new, my congratulations and thansk. To Phil Garner, you are truly a class act, as a player, as a manager, as a human being. I don't think it would be possible to see tha pennant in Houston without you.

To the entire team, one last thought: if you are good enough to get to the World Series, you are good enough to win it! Don't stop now, we will keep believing and you will keep delivering 110% of our expectations!

Sox are just a kind of smelly underwear. Astros are champions!

*** Go Astros ***

Thanks so much Astros! Such an unbelievable year, no matter how it ends. We're all so proud of you!

I <3 you, Astros. You guys gave me the best birthday gift ever. I'm proud of you guys. I knew all long that you could do it. Go get 'em in the World Series!! I'll be watching and cheering all the way through!!

Way To Go Astros!!!!!!!!
I'll be there on Tue. to go 3up. LETS GO ASTROS LETS GO.

Ted Williams belongs at an Astros World Series game. I had World Series tickets in 1980 and 1986 and just missed it. I took my dad to the Nolan Ryan start in the Dome in 1980 and I bought a brick in his memory at Minute Maid Park. I was the lead auditor in 1983 for Ernst & Whinney on the audit of the Houston Sports Association, the former owners of the Astros. I got to see a bunch of games in Hoffeinz's box way up in the scoreboard wall, before they added the additional seats and lost that wall. Earlier this year, I was selected as one of the 7 winners of the Cy 7 Sweepstakes and got to go down on the field with my kids when Roger was awarded his 7th Cy Young award. Sadly, this Ted Williams (real name, honest) will be watching the games on my big screen TV in my Den. I guess, all in all, its been a pretty good run. Here is a vote for Bagwell as full-time DH in all Chicago home games. The greatest player in Astros' history deserves this one. Go Biggio, go Cruz and Garner, and go ASTROS!

Astros pride is everywhere!
Congratulations from hockey-mad Toronto,Ontario, Canada where believe it or not, there are no fewer than 4 long-time Astros fans in our office of less than 100 people.

I've managed to make it to 6 Astros games this year, 3 in Pittsburgh, and my first 3 in Houston back in August and despite a crazy work schedule I'm coming back to Houston on Tuesday to join the party for game 3, and then will turn around and fly back to Toronto the next day!

I can't get enough of this team, and can't wait to hang out with the best fans in baseball, even if it is for only 24 hours!

I've been a fan for more than 25 years and have never been more proud!

Thank you Astros, and all the best.

The World Series baby, It's On!

Congratulations for a hard job done well. Thank you all for giving our youngsters (and us oldsters) great role models. We needed that.

Congratulations to the Astros!! I had faith you would pull it out and get revenge on those pesky redbirds and you went in there and got the job done! Now go in there and stomp a mudhole in those White Sox and walk it dry, good luck in the World Series and I still have my champagne chilling in the refrigerator when you guys win the big daddy of them all, the World Series baby!! Go get 'em Astros!! I waited 20 years of my life, now 36, to see you make it to the World Series and you made my and your dream a reality, that's what I talking about baby!!! Your Dedicated fan forever, Lee McGhee OH **** YEAH!!!

does anybody know if they are going to show the games at the astrodome?

Thanks to all the Astros players. You have no idea how much I love to watch y'all play, and y'all made me fall in love with the game all over again. Houston was the first city I lived in where there was a ball team and I remember the first time I saw what I call the original 3: Bagwell, Biggio, and Ausmus. I am so happy for everyone, but especially those three. You all worked so hard throughout the season and never gave up. Every single player on the team is a great rolemodel to kids, and that's hard to say about a whole professional team. Houston can say our boys play for love of the game and not money. Houston is so proud of y'all!!!! Thanks for the great season.

I've been an Astros fan for as long as I can remember. I was there when Nolan Ryan pitched his fifth no-hitter. You've always felt like part of my family, and I couldn't be happier for you! Congratulations!!! GO 'STROS!!! San Antonio

This is the most awsome thing to happen to Houston and the Astros. Have been a long time fan since moving to Houston in 1980 and then for the last 3 years been a displaced fan in Virginia. Since moving to Virginia you have no idea what you have meant to me being able to watch and keep with the team. Two years ago I suffered a brain anyerusm and remember my son bringing me an astro shirt to wear in the hospital and the drs commenting on it. You have kept me going. I love you guys. Thank you for the thrill of it all. We are all proud of you no matter whether we are in Houston or not. Thanks for the greatest and good luck. It all is in your favor. Again you don't know what you have meant to me and getting me thru the last 2 years. Thank you. We love you and you are the best.

GO ASTROS!!! My pappaw and mom used to take me to the games at the great Astrodome, I loved it! I am so excited for you guys!! By the way, CRIAG you're great!!! We can always count on you!!! I can't wait for the games to begin:)

GOD BLESS YOU ALL!!!

Kimmy:)

WAY TO GO ASTROS!!!! A life long Cubs fan and Astros fan since I was 9.. Im with ya all the way. I hate the White Sox and would like nothing more than the Southside of Chicago to go down in shame!!!! GOOD LUCK!!!

For me the wait began when I was 9 years old in 1980. As a kid in Puerto Rico I grew up following and admiring Cheo Cruz. However, it was Ryan that made me become a full-fletched Astro diehard.

I've followed the Astros every single year since. One of my favorite memories from childhood was Billy Hatcher's homer in that fateful extra inning game lost at the hands of Jesse Orosco. Before that, however, I remember jumping up and down uncontrollably as Hatcher's homer barely made it pass the left field foul pole. It was magical for a moment... but we lost later after rallying for two runs in the 16th I think and left Scott in the bench and someone on second base. AHHH!!!!

Lidge's debacle with the Cardinals reminded me a bit of that. I actually did not feel that sad really. I was happy anyhow and felt really bad for the players and Lidge (awesome pitcher and probably a really great guy). I was really happy for them when they won the next game. It was also great to see Cheo in the mix with the guys. Boy, he wanted it as much as anyone.

I don't play the game, but if I did, I would have been so proud of myself and the great group of guys that made it this year. I would like to thank Biggio, Bagwell, Clemens, Pettite, Ensberg, Berkman and Oswalt for being such great quiet leaders. You guys are great and have made this extra fun. The young guys were great also. I feel a bit sorry for Luke not gettig in a homer. He left all in triple AAA

I've never seen the Astros play live. Hopefully I

will next year. I am due.

I remember crying when the Astros traded Rusty Staub, staying up late to listen to Dodger games - hoping they'd lose, getting knots in my stomach everytime I thought about 1986's last game - only to have Walt Weiss make that seem trivial. This season has been truly remarkable, the post season exciting, exhilarating, and very fulfilling. I am so proud to be a fan. GO 'STROS.

Cruz, to Biggio, Bagwell and Ausmus got me interested in baseball, watching all of you, including Phil Garner has made me a big fan of Astros baseball!!! Which is great because my husband is a HUGE fan! I love watching y'all play! What a great season this is! What a classy team! Watching each and everyone of the members of the Astros contribute this year, refusing to give up and working so hard is so much fun to watch! What an inspiration you have been! I've realized that there are folks with great character involved in sports and you are among my heroes! Its great to have such wonderful role-models for kids and grown-ups! So much so, that we are now coaching our grandson's Little League team!
We've been cheering for you and will continue to, here in Richardson, all the way to the World Series win!! You guys so deserve this!!! We Bee-lieve in you!!! Bzzzzzzzz! Go 'Stros!

I'm directing this email to Craig Biggio and Jeff Bagwell. I have been an Astros'fan all my life and watched you guys from the start of your careers. I just want to let you know that the sacrifices you have made for this team from a fan's prospective is GREATLY appreciated. Loyalty to one club in the day of the free agent is a true testament to both of you guys' selflessness and determination to bring this team to the pinnacle it deserves to be at right now. I firmly believe that this is the fruit of the seeds you have sewn so enjoy it guys because to me, win or lose you two are a class act and what every young baseball player should aspire to be like. To the Rocket, Roger Clemens, man, what can I say to you but thank you for coming to Houston and contributing to bringing the Astros to the World Series. As a kid, I had two favorite pitchers I emulated myself after and that was Nolan Ryan and you. You are one of my childhood idles and you made my boyhood wish come true by playing for the Astros and taking them to the World Series, so thank you for making a twenty year old dream come true!! To the whole team, I hope you guys have a copy of the Houston Chronicle with the tombstone on the front of it in the lockeroom and use it as inspiration to seal the deal and shove that tombstone right down that sportswriter's throat. GO ASTROS!!!!!!!!!

Wow. This is the moment that every Astros fan dreams of- the opportunity to see their favorite team finally have a chance to place themselves as the best team in the US. You guys are all amazing, and all inspiring. I have watched this team play since I was a little kid, but I've grown a new sense of appreciation for my Houston Astros as the years have passed. Thank you, guys, for an awesome season. You all should be proud. Remember, we're rooting for you every step of the way- regardless of whatever outcome the World Series may have. Go, Killer B's. Go, Houston, Go! WE BELIEVE!

CONGRATULATIONS CRAIG and all the 2005 ASTROS!! I've been watching you play for 17 of your 18 years in this game. I love the fact that you've played for no other team. Virtually no one else can say that these days. I really liked this game when I began watching you play. I just wanted you to know that you helped me love this game. I know that there are millions out there who might say they're your biggist fan, but I truly am. I remember when people used to laugh at my blue and orange #7 shirt saying, "Who's Big-e-o?" From catcher to left to catcher to left to second base (and back again), I've followed you all over the field and plan to follow you right into Cooperstown! No one deserves this run at the WS than you (and Bags of course!). Again, congratulations!!!

To the Team and Managers,

I have always been an Astros fan, ever since the first time my dad took me to my first baseball game at the Astrodome. The excitement and thrill of watching Nolan Ryan pitch, Jose Cruz at bat, Bill Doran field grounders, and Kevin Bass run down fly balls, has never left my memory. It was a time I will always cherish with my Dad, and it is why I still watch and cheer for the Astros season after season.

Now, I have a son, who I took to his first game last year when Jeff Kent hit a walk-off homerun to win the fifth game of the playoffs against the Cardinals. I can only imagine what went through his little mind during that very loud and exciting game. It must have been similar as when I was a boy at my first game, because he became an instant fan.

Every morning when I take him to school, he asks me if the Astros won their game the night before. When I tell him yes they did win, he pumps his fist and says “Yes!” We then talk about who did what in the game and so on.

My wife and I have been to about a dozen games this year, and only missed a hand full on TV. It might seem kind of corny, but watching an Astro game has become a normal time for us to spend together, unwind and escape after a long hard day at work. Matter of fact, on many of our few date nights we have gone to an Astros game to eat a hotdog and cheer on the team.

Anyway, I hope my story among many other stories will help inspire all of you to keep doing what you have already done through the years and in 2005, play for the fans and keep them as the 10th man on the roster.

To the Team:

Before and during these away games in Chicago, listen hard enough and you will hear your fans chanting and cheering. Remember that sound when you need that hit or that hard out.

Go! Astros Go!

Family of Fans,

Friendswood, TX

I've been a Houston baseball fan since the days of the Buffs. I went to opening day 1962 and saw the Colt 45s win! I followed the playoffs in 80 and 86 and 04. This is a real dream come true for me. glad I lived long enough to see it happen. Now, let's go win it all. Best of luck.

To: All Former and Current ASTROS PLAYERS & COACHES,

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!

Go and do what y'all do best...PLAY AS A TEAM AND WIN AS A TEAM! IT'S YOUR TURN! BRING IT HOME Babe!!!

CONGRATULATIONS, The HOUSTON ASTROS!!! :)

I knew you gentlemen would go to the World Series. I never stopped believing. I had faith in God that He'd lead y'all on your way. As long as you have Him in your heart, you never go wrong.

To my favorite player, Mr. Morgan Ensberg: You truly inspire me more ways I can count. You never let anyone get you down, and you know that life's to short to worry about what others think. My dream is to play softball in college(I was never the athletic type in high school, I was more of a dancer-type of girl), and I owe it all to you and your teammates. I fell in love with this game, and will love it forever and for always. I live for this.

I love you all!!! :) Peace and love to y'all and your loved ones!!! :)

Much Love,

Vanessa!!! :)

I knew that this day would come!! You have deserved this opportunity for a long time. I know that you have the talent and the heart to go all the way. You have all my support and all the support of those I have recently converted to Astros Fans!!

CONGRATS TO THE 2005 HOUSTON ASTROS!! Ive had the honor of watching you play many games this year and yer determination really paid off! Hats off to the coaches and staff for an awesome turn-around season!! All you guys are already winners in my opinion! GOOD LUCK IN THE SERIES..LETS BRING IT HOME GUYS!..I BEE-LIEVE!!

Congratulations for a job well done! I remember sitting and sweating in the bleachers with my dad watching the Colt 45s. I remember going to opening day at the EIGHTH WONDER OF THE WORLD back when you "dressed" to go to the Astrodome. I wore a red dress with a black velvet jacket and my dad wore a suit! I was there for "Morgana" and the other streakers. I remember getting to the dome 2 hours early to get front row seats in the outfield (It was a cheap date for my boyfriend turned husband) My son yelled so much to Joe Niekro one night for an autograph that Joe said he'd sign his ball if my son promised to shut up and go bug someone else! My husband and I raised our boys as true Astros fans. My younger son is a 6'2" 220lb.lefty college pitcher and his dream is to play for the Astros. My family is choosing the World Series over our football homecoming game tomorrow night. Nothing takes the place of the Astros. Good luck and God bless to the finest, most ethical, and classy baseball franchise and it's great to see Nolan back in the organization.

The Clanton Family in Anahuac, TX

All of you are a true inspiration to both young boys and girls. My youngest daughter(7 yrs) plays softball for Deer Park and loves to go and watch the games at the stadium and at home! She herself plays many positions and dominates them all. Her favorite position to play is 2nd base and her favorite Astro is Lance Berkman. I know he is first base but she just loves to watch him hit from both side and comments that she hits from both sides too. That is why he is her favorite player! Stay strong! We will all be watching and waiting for that long deserved win!!!
The Amato family from DEER PARK!!!!

My heart is LEAPING for joy!

Winners versus Losers

The Winner is always a part of the answer.

The Loser is always a part of the problem.

Winners make commitments

Losers make promises

Winners say, "Let's find out"

Losers say, "Nobody knows"

The Winner always has a program

The Loser always has an excuse.

The Winner says, "Let me do it for you"

The Loser says, "That's not my job."

The Winner sees an answer for every problem.

The Loser sees a problem in every answer.

The Winner says, "It may be difficult but it's possible"

The Loser says, "It may be possible but it's too difficult."

WINNERS is a fitting title for this team. Thank you for your COMMITMENT to this city. Thank you for getting us to THE WORLD SERIES. Now bring that Championship title home!!!

You want to talk about classy, I will try to make this short and sweet,
In the spring of 1992 (I think) after Jeff's rookie season, I called the

Astros and Jeffs agent asking if he would come out to our little league

SBHLL in SE Houston to talk to the kids, throw out the first pitch and

sign (free) autographs for anyone and everyone, He did and with a big

smile on his face, everyone told me that there was no way he was going

to show up, but show up he did and I have never seen so many happy kids

and parents in my entire life, he took pictures with the kids it was

just unbelievable to have such a great person/player in our midst, The

South Belt Leader did a story on the whole event, It was GREAT! thanks

to the Astros and Jeff Bagwell, there is a little more to this story,

but I just wanted to share with you what a Great and Classy person Jeff

is, and he and Craig deserves a pennant and a World Series Ring.

thanks

To all of the members of the team:
Much love and support as you make your way into the future. This means so much for the team, and for the city of Houston and all of the Astro Fans....we love ya'll and are backin' ya'll 110%!!! We will be with thru the good and the bad....and we just really want to let you know that we love you guys. Good Luck and BRING IT HOME!!!

From Slick Willies @ I-10 and Federal Rd.

WOW !!! I am so happy !! I have watched the Astros play since the beginning. I was three yrs old when the Astros were "born". I have gone to many a game with my dad, my great uncles, boyfriends, husband, my kids. My whole family loves you! I grew up in Houston and have moved away , but always come back to town to watch my favorite team. Congrats to All!! I LOVE YOU GUYS !!!!!!!!

You all have set such an example for kids everywhere in your perserverance, patience and comaradaire. You show it is a team effort and you back that up with your actions. In todays world of all about 'Me" you all have proven that it is much more that that. As a parent of three active team sports kids I thank you. We have followed you guys for years now. We were fortunate enought to be there for game 5 of the Division playoffs, the 18 inning game.Wow what a game and what a team. Thank you for all you do and for the outstandng examples each of you are to kids. Congratulations and GO ASTROS!!!!

Hey, Guys!

Way to go! I have been a devoted fan since I was 8 yrs old. I will be 35 in January; so, I have waited my whole life for this. I am so happy and proud of you all. You guys are the perfect illustration of the word "TEAM"! Tom Hanks may have said , "there's no crying in baseball!" But, I have shed many a tear of joy over the last couple of days over this wonderful moment. I cannot describe my feelings of elation. . . just so very proud! Anyway, go get 'em in Chicago! I know you guys will bring it home! Go 'Stros! Go 'Stros!! Go 'Stros!!!

Much love,

Tonya

Oh yeah, I won a bet with my Phillies fan friends over who would get the Wild-card berth. My "spoils of war" prize was a case of TastyKakes from Philadelphia. . .good stuff! Anyhoo, my friends were not happy at first (of course); but, as they watched you guys beat up Atlanta and St. Louis, they became 'Stros fans too. Shoot, they want NLC hats and shirts too! True converts, me thinks. . . woohoo!!!

This has been a long time coming. You guys deserve this so much. Congratulations Astros!! We're rooting for you!

GEAUX ASTROS! WE BEE-LEIVE!!We are native Louisianians, now living in Deer Park, TX and have always loved the Astro's. We have been to several games, both at the Astrodome and at Minute Maid Park. Since moving to Texas, we have watched every game either on t.v. or in person and even a few on the radio. I can count on one hand the games we missed because of being out of town. Brad Ausmus, you're my favorite player. My husband even bought me the #11 jersey for a early birthday present. We think every one of ya'll are class acts and no other professional team comes close. Our 13 yr old son has played catcher since t-ball, and like Lance, he is a switch hitter. We bee-lieve he'll be another Ausmus playing for the Astros. When hurricane Katrina hit, we had family members from N.O. living with us. Three are in their 70's and never watched baseball. By the time they left (3 weeks later), they knew every player on the team, hooting and hollering "lets go Stro's". They too, are cheering you on.
CONGRATULATIONS!! KNOCK THIER SOCKS OFF and BRING IT HOME!!

WE BEE-LEIVE!!

The Reed family from Deer Park!

Houston deserves this and proves that no good deed goes unawarded. When Katrina hit Houston opened up its arms, doors and resources to help the victims of the hurricane. Constant news reports showed people who truly appreciated Houston’s hospitality and the friendly easygoing Texas attitude that goes along with it. Then Mother Nature seems to have aim at Houston and the Texas Gulf Coast. The city gets evacuated I remember sitting in traffic listening to the grim reports about Rita and what she could potentially do and not worrying about my house or the fact that I had been sitting in traffic for 5 hours already, all I was worrying about was whether the Astros won or not, after I heard the news that they had I was good to go for the other 11 hours I was in the car.

I have been reading articles comparing Houston with Chicago but for me the Astros are not just Houston’s team. I live in San Marcos, but formally I lived in Lake Jackson, which is south of Houston, and to me the Astros could have of easy been called the Lake Jackson Astros and I know that it is the same for all the cities surrounding Houston. Even here in San Marcos the channels tend to show more Rangers games but the sport casters always focus more on the Astros. All respect to the Rangers, I truly believe that the Astros is Texas’s team, not just Houston’s.

Go Astros!! We are all so proud of you guys, and will be cheering you on across the country and beyond as you head to Chicago to your first World Series. To the veterans: congratulations on finally making it, you belong in this series, you deserve it. Thanks for all your hard work and the many years of baseball you have given to us. To the young ones, savor this time, you're playing with some of the best players the game has ever seen. Thanks for putting your hearts into it, for working so hard to get us to this point. To all of you, good work boys! Thanks to your teamwork and dedication, we are finally going to the big game... we love you guys, knock the sox of Chicago!!!!

And win or loose, the Astros are finally getting the recognition they have long deserved. You are all phenomenal players, and great examples of how athletes should conduct themselves. Young baseball fans everywhere are watching you, and learning what it really means to be a competitor: To have faith in yourself and your teammates, to always enjoy the game, even if your behind, and to respect those who you are competing against. Thanks for everything guys, but most of all, thanks for that.

-Your Fans in Kalamazoo, Michigan

This was my first year going to an Astros game. My 10 yr old son became a huge fan after that one game. He chose to have our vacation in Houston to see you guys again. It was awesome. We lucked out and got tickets for game 3 in the NCLS and my son insisted on making a sign to bring. It had the players #'s added up = World Series and I guess he was right. Today is the first game of the World Series and is our wedding anniversary and that could not be the a better gift for us today than to watch you guys play this. Our son's sign is in his bedroom window in front of our house for everyone in our town in Louisiana to see who he's rooting for. Good luck and take it all!!!

Congratulations to Drayton, Phil and the entire 2005 Astros team. You defied the odds, believed in yourselves, and did what so many said couldn't be done. You earned a place in history and you gave us the opportunity to enjoy it with you. Thank you for giving us a great year of baseball and the excitement of watching a great team find itself, each player reaching deep inside himself when there was nothing else to do and nowhere else to go. You were amazing to watch and now the entire country will have a chance to see what your fans have seen all season long -- the heart of champions. It's On!

Everybody outside Houston said this day would never come for us this season, but surprise! I have been a fan my whole life, spending summers at the astrodome and now minute maid park. Y'all have done so great, keep it up! Go 'Stros!

WAY TO GO ASTROS! You have redefined "TEAMWORK". Congrats to all the guys for your hard work and resiliency. TO MY FAVORITE-JEFF BAGWELL: I am so excited for you to experience your dream of a World Series! You take my breath away! I am praying for a miraculous recovery to have you back in full swing next year. My dream is to meet you and get your autograph, so stick around for few more years! HEY CHICAGO--IT'S ON!

way to go STROS . WE FINALLY MADE IT TO THE BIG SHOW .. WHILE EVREYBODY COUNT IT US OUT. WHAT EVER HAPPENDS GUYS THE ASTROS WILL ALWAYS BE MY WORLDCHAMPIONS LIKE IN THE PAST . LETS GOOO STROS BRING IT HOME AND GOOD LUCK. LETS ROOT FOR THE GOOD GUYZZZZZZZ

I've never given up on you guys, even when y'all had a 15-30 record! I bee-lieve and know that you guys want it just as much as the fans do!! I'm glad y'all have made it this far, and I know that you guys can go farther, and win the World Series! :) Berkman is my favorite on the team (his smile is wonderful), but I have a few who come in a close 2nd!! Good luck in Chicago and hurry and get home, so we can win it in our hometown! The good guys will prevail! GO 'STROS!!

-Lyndsey

Congrats from CAPTAIN DAN! You guys are awesome, both on the the field and off. Being your pilot for 8 trips this season has been great, and I am so proud of you. Bring home that World Championship! GO STROS!

GO AND TEAR UP THE WHITE SOX !

GO ON TO VICTORY !

IT IS YOUR TIME, YOU DESERVE IT !

astros ****!!!!

I have been an Astros Fan all my life. I remember when i was a kid my dad and mom would take me to the Dome to see the Stros. As i got older I could not wait until baseball season and get to go see the Astros. I haved been to so many memorable games in my life that bring back special memories of such a wonderful team and organization. I remember back to the days of Wynn, Cedeno, Metzger, Morgan, Rader. Then came the likes Of Ryan, Ashby, Scott, Cabell, Howe, Garner, Hatcher, Bass, Puhl, Sambito, Ruhle, and more. Then came the likes of Biggio, Bagwell, Bell, Alou, Kent, Berkman, Ensberg, Everett, Ausmus, Clemens, Pettitte, Oswalt, Lidge, Backe, Lane, Lamb, Taveras, Burke and others of this modern day team that has shown over the entire history of this wonderful franchise what hard work and dedication can bring to a wonderful group of Professionals who started this trend 43 years ago. This team has been all so close the past several seasons in making it to the WORLD SERIES but to be stopped. This year is the year of the Underdogs, as this team has shown great Loyalty to winning and proving what it takes to become a CHAMPION. With that guys, take your winning ways to another level and bring home a WORLD SERIES CHAMPIONSHIP. Good Luck and may your season be blessed with "Victory". A special thanks also goes out to Milo, Allen, Bill, Larry, Jim. for bringing the play by play on radio and television. We Love our Astros. GO ASTROS!!!!!

I'm French Fan of Houston Astros since 1990( the year where I start to play baseball in France!)
I never love other team like Astros!

I just wish they will win the World series!

GO ASTROS GO!

Go Astros!!! This has been a great year. The first World Series ever in H-Town. This has been a great team effort. Some people just wrote this team off when they were 15-30. They came back and were just amazing. All the pitchers, catchers, outfielders, infielders, subs, and everyone. Our team has the Drive to win the World Series. We got all the young players who are enthusiastic. We have the veterans who want to win. We also have Backe. I mean have you ever seen a more enthusiastic player than him. He is just amazing and I love listening to him on the Sounds of the Game. Biggio and Bagwell are finally going to the World Series. For most of the Astros its a first time. I have confidence that the Stros will come through and win the World Series. We have the best team and we are not afraid to use it. The Rocket is a killer strike out pitcher, followed by Andy, who has the best curve in the league, then there is Roy O, who keeps putting up Os on the scoreboard, and Backe, with his enthusiasm gets everyone in the game. We got Berkman, who's done great with the bat, Biggio, who scores most of the runs, Bagwell, who has done a great job comming of the bench, Burke, who has delivered when we needed it, Bruntlett, who has got some key game winners, Everett, whose defense is unstoppable, Lamb, who can hit it out anytime, Vizcaino, who came up with many hits and Ensberg, the one who carried us when we needed it. In the outfield we have Willy T. who has the most infield hits, Lane, who has a lot of power, and Palmeiro, who has gone on many important streaks. We got the amazing bullpen with Lidge, Wheeler, Qualls, Rodriguez, Astacio, Springer. And lets not forget our catchers Brad Ausmus and Raul Chavez for catching all the balls the pitchers threw at them. This team has Phil Garner for a coach and that why its better than others. We have resilience, determination, strategy, and most of all teamwork. It is obvious that the Astros will beat the Sox. Go Astros. Knock of the Sox.

-Ailia

Our cat had five kittens, and we named them all after you guys! Morgan, Andy, Backe, Ausmus, and Adam. Some are girls, but who cares. We renamed the mother cat Phil. We wish we had 25 kittens so we could have the whole team. GEAUX ASTREAUX! We love you!
~Emma, Chelsea, and Natalie

My husband and I were at Game 7 last year. He is in the Army and was part of the Color Guard during opening ceremonies. We spent the game in Busch stadium's party boxes with some of St Louis' firefighters. That was a night we will never forget as nice as it would have been to win it then. We didn't lose faith. I knew our guys could do it!! I have been an Astros fan my whole life, I even turned my CA husband into a huge fan too! Some of my friends think it's neat that I know just as much about baseball if not more than most guys, especially my Astros. I told my coworkers at the begining of the season when they were doubting the team not to worry they'll be fine. I knew we'd see this day, can't wait!!!

Astros Rock! I love you guys! I like the White Sox too, but Astros all the way!!!! I am praying God will allow it to be our year! Bagwell: Get better soon you rock! Ensberg: I am praying for you and Jesus loves you! Clemens: You can do it! The Rocket!
At age 11 I was raised a Astro fan. Even though I was born in Colorado, I undoubtfully am a huge fan! Good luck in the World Series!

I HAVE BEEN A FAN WHEN YOU WERE COLT 45'S,I AM SO PROUD OF THIS TEAM ,I PRAYED FOR YOU TO WIN GAME 6 TO CLINCH THE SERIES,WHAT A GREAT GAME ,ROY PITCHING WAS THE GREATEST,THANKS FOR A GREAT YEAR,GOD BLESS ALL OF YOU ,YOU HAVE MADE THE CITY PROUD,THANKS BILL DAVIS

I never lost faith even when you guys were 15 games under I knew you would come back and show everything what you are really made of. Good Luck in the World Series!! I still BEELIEVE!

I lost my brother in law in a very bad car accident last year (not his fault) Him and his brother (whom also was killed in the wreck) were huge 'Stros fans, and it was thanks to him that I got to go to my very-first game at the Dome about 7 yrs ago.....I been loving the Astros since. This has been a bittersweet celebration for me, I just wish they could be here to witness and celebrate with us. On Wednesday when the Astros beat the Cards I celebrated like never before....I was so excited (still am)..but I took the time to look up at the sky and say "THANK YOU AND HAPPY B-DAY" to my brother in law ....for he would have turned 26, that exact same day.....

THIS ONE IS FOR YOU GUYS!!!

Hey Wonderful Job! I'm happy that your dreams are coming true guys! Y'all deserve all this praise and support because you've shown that with love of the game and a true appreaciation for what you have you can acheive anything, no matter what kind of colossal odds are against you. Well being here in college is a new experience just like I bet many of you are feeling a new experience so I hope you enjoy it as much as I've enjoyed you over my lifetime back in Houston. Thanks for everything it means alot!
I'll be rootin for yA 'Stros

Peace and God Bless

Wow! I could not be more proud of this team. Yall never quit and battled back into the wildcard spot. Your character, resiliency and determination showed in the NLDS and NLCS. Now, even if you go down 3-0 in the series, Astros fans everywhere can be confident that this series WILL go seven games(unless you sweep the Sox). You guys are relentless! Thank you and keep it up!
Gordon in Rainier, OR

Great job guys! I've lived in Houston my entire life and have seen the joys and heartaches of this ball club. I am especially happy for Biggio and Bagwell who stayed true to Houston. Good luck!

Way to Go Astros! We love you guys. I was born in Houston and have joined many other fans in the stands since childhood. My husband is in the army and is now deployed for the 4th time. All of the Astros fans in his unit crowd around the television in the middle of the early morning to watch the games. So do your best for you, and all your fans around the world! We are all behind you!

I am a lifelong Astros fan living in Germany working with the U.S. military. I have to get up at 2 a.m. to watch the games, but it is worth it! I went to Colt games, was at the opening weekend of the dome, the closing weekend of the dome, and many games in between and now at Minute Maid. I have been wearing Astro clothes every day for the last three weeks to try to support my team. I am so proud of the boys and all they've done. I would give anything to come home for a game of the Series, but duty calls here.
Go Babies. Win like the winners you are.

wow! what a series..congratulations to bags and bigg.
Hopefully you guys can finish this strak off..

may 24th you guys were 15 gms below .500 nd now youre in the world series.

LETS GO ASTROS

GO ASTROS!! I am so proud and so excited for you guys!! Thank you for making this dream come true. No other team puts as much heart in their game as you. Biggio and Bagwell - You've waited a long time for this - enjoy every moment of it; you deserve it!! Thank you for being loyal to the Stros for so many years. Berkman - you're my hero!! I love the bubble gum! Congratulations to all of you! I love all of you!! You always have been and always will be my #1 team. Best of luck! I know you will be great!

Congratulations from Northern Ohio, Astros! Your fans are all over - and many of us are only able to see you in person in 'visitors' territory. (Why DOES it rain every time you visit Cincy, anyway?!) Sincerely, CONGRATS and best of luck in the upcoming games. A special 'thank you,' and 'congratulations' to your exceptional receiver, Brad Aumsus, who consistently is perfectly pleasant and accomodating anytime when asked for an autograph or photo. He is the leader of the pack in this CLASS ACT of an organization. Thanks Brad! NOTE TO TIM PURPURA - Sign Ausmus for '06!! (If not beyond!!) Take'em in 4, boys!! Congratulations again -Wendy - Toledo, OH

Astro's Regroup And Try It Again Tomorrow.

Rome Wasn't Built Over Night !

Pull It Together !

hey, astros! that's alright if yall lost today but u are just giving the white sox a chance right now. cuz u don't want to feel guilty when u beat them on the next four games and they don't get a chance to win anything. well love ya bye!!!

In October of 2004 I got on a plane for the 1st time in my life to go watch something I waited for my whole life.....I got a chance to meet my childhood hero before game 6 (Jose Cruz) and Craig Biggio signed a poster of mine right before game 7 that said Do it for Cami!!! During and after game 7 I had beer poured on me and was spit on with my rainbow jersey on in game 7 .....so it made it that much more sweeeeter this year when we downed the cards at Busch I just wish I had been there to get even

Shake tonight off. You will do an awesome job tomorrow. Go get 'em and show them what you are made out of. The Astros are awesome. Remember keep the faith and continue to BELIEVE. I know I do. The team will be in my prayers. God Bless the Astros!!!

Astros fans, regardless of what happened tonight, the Astros have overcame lots of obstacles this entire season, and have also beat the team with the best record in the majors, the Cardinals. Remember, the Rocket was out early and the Astros were not able to catch up to the White *** (not Sox) during the late game rally which tells me that we will do better during the next few games. If they beat the Cardinals, they can definitely beat the ***. I have all the faith in my 'stros, and win, lose or draw, I still love them and we all should. Go Astros!!!

Congrats to all the guys. Any chance Baggy might learn to throw lefty?
Oh, and Carlos Beltran, how do you like you agent now?

Seattle, WA

I HAVE BEEN A FAN FOR 35 YEARS,AND THIS IS THE BEST YEAR YET.GO OET THEM GUYS.OH ANY BODY KNOW WERE I CAN GET A ASTROS FLAG,NO BODY HAS THEM HERE IN OMAHA,NEBR.

Sox in Six!

My favorite Astros moment:
My daughter and I had scoped out two empty seats right behind the Astros dugout since the early innings and made our way down in the late innings. People around us were very quiet, but we were exuberant to be so close! My daughters first love, Jeff Bagwell was at the plate and she screamed at the top of her lungs, "HIT A HOMERUN JEFF! Next pitch, out of the park! Everyone stood up and clapped and then turned to see who the little girl was that called the homerun! It was like she was magical for that one moment. What a wonderful Astros moment for the both of us! I love the Astros and wish them the best of luck! Go Stros!

Love you guys, Round Rock Express fans are proud to say we knew you back then & so happy to see your successes. The Astros couldn't have done it without you!!

we are VERY deserving of this world series...we are by far THE most discredited team in tha league....BEAT THEIR ***** LOL

I first walked into the Astrodome 35 years ago and am still to this day a Die Hard Astros Fan. You have done us proud and I am happy to be associated with you. GO GET EM!!!!

LOTTERY UNFAIR:

I have come across many people--especially last night--who won World Series Lottery tickets. 100% of them are selling either all 4 tickets or 3 out of 4. Some of them already had tickets because they also had season tickets--how sporting of them. In essence, these fans are looting other fans for their own enrichment. While the game was going on, E-bay deals were being set-up and their thousands counted. Regular fans should not have to sell the family jewels to go or otherwise limit the pool to monied people who don't even pay attention to the team during the regular season. Limit the next lottery, if there ever is one, to 2 tickets. That will allow more people to get tickets, more regular fans to the game, and limit the amount of windfall any one person can get.

What gets me is this--I have a moderate income and yet if I had one I was planning to buy all 4 and give or sell at face value 2 of them to friends--the idea of looting other fans never occurred to me--I'm angry at those Astros fans who are doing so--it's greedy--it's unsportsmen-like--it seems to be the American way.

For Bidge:

My memories go back to being an elementary aged little girl going to the games with our entire family-aunts, uncles, grandparents-everyone! We would get so pumped up when it was time to yell "Cruuuuuuuzzzzzzz"! I remember and love the days of Billy Doran, and Glen Davis. Ken Caminiti, Jeff Bagwell and you behind the plate! Back then, I was a catcher for girls softball so I watched every move you made in hopes that I would learn something to better my game. You were my idol! When you moved to 2nd, that was tough for me, but I was just happy you were still with the 'Stros because by this time I was old enough to realize that not only were you a great player, you're a cutie!! ha! I've worn #7 on my back forever it seems. You are the best and we love you! So, here's to you Bidge- you've more than earned this opportunity at the big dance. Thanks for sticking with the Astros through good and bad! You will forever be a legend to us!

GO ASTROS!!

ASTROOOOOOOS!!!!!

I have been a fan of Craig Biggio's since he came to the majors in 1988. I vowed in 1990, that I will be in Cooperstown when he is inducted into the Hall of Fame. That has not changed, I will be there. Since I live in NJ, I always make sure I am in Philly when the Astros come to play my Phillies. Congratulations to Craig, Jeff and all of the Astros!! Go get those White Sox!!!

Thank you Astros for making this city proud! We've always believed and will continue to do so for many, MANY years to come! As a fan of 27 years, congratulations! Take us all the way! Donnie C.

To my Astros-

Last night's game was kind of disappointing, but you all have a great opportunity to redeem yourselves tonight! Leave your game on the field, and be proud of whatever you accomplish! No matter what the outcome of this World Series, you all will be number one in the hearts of all your fans!

Ensburg, you didn't let your team down. You did as well as you possibly could, and we are all behind you one hundred and ten percent. You are one of my favorite players, and I know you'll do a better job next time. :-)

To the Killer Bee's- Have a great time playing tonight, and don't forget that Houston is rooting for YOU. We love you guys and we know you'll rock the SOCKS off of Chicago!

WE BEE-LIEVE IN YOU GUYS!

Much love, your fan, Camille

Congrads guys. You all deserve every bit of this by getting through the hard times of this and past seasons. I am incredibly proud to say that I am and have been an Astros fan ever since I was 5 or 6.
A huge congrads to Craig, Jeff and Brad for making it there. Also a big congrads to Chris Burke. It is amazing to see someone from my hometown do what you are doing out there. Louisville is cheering you on Chris. Even though I went to Trinity and you are a St. X boy I am so happy to see you succeeding, especially for the Stros.

It was an incredible feeling to see you all not only fulfill your dreams, but also the dreams of us, your fans, by beating the Cardinals in game 6. Good luck in the World Series boys. You all can do it! I'll be cheering you on. Life long Astros fan,

Greg S.

To: Brandon Backe

Thank you for everything you have brought to this team. You have been an awesome addition for us!! I love watching you pitch, I met you last year at LandMark Chevrolet and you were so sweet. You are my absolute favorite Astro!! Your energy is amazing and you make everygame fun. You have so much skill and I know you are going to be even greater than you are now!! Since you do hail from galveston I believe that you deserve this championship just as much as all the vetrans on the team. My brother is in the United States Navy and knows one of your old friends that you use to play baseball with, and when i told him that I met you he was excited. Everyone of your old friends are very proud of all your acomplishments and so are we in houston. Who knew when you came to Stephanie's 13th BD party in your uniform and cleats that tonight we'd be watching you in the World Series!! We're watching from Austin, and Stephanie and her family are watching from Wisconsin where she lives with her husband & kids. All the best!! George, Beth & Kevin Cox

i am so proud of the 2005 astros every single one of the players contributes so positively to the team, if the team was one player different i dont think they would be this far today! even though yall are not leading the world series right now, its ok, yall made it this far and still can win if yall just try yalls hardest! and just get into the game and play like yall have never played before! this is as big as it gets right here!

We may be down two...but we battled back when we were behind and they had some bs calls go their way. Minute Maid is not an easy park for them to play in and we will tie up the series in Houston!
I feel Bad for Lidge...Just want to let him know that we know he is a great pitcher. We love you Lidge...don't let it get you down..we'll take care of business in H TOWN..

GO STROS!!!

WORLD CHAMPS 2005!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just wanted to say how proud I am to be represented by you guys. Tonight was a good, tough game. I have faith in you guys that things will take a good turn back here at Minute Maid. But just know that there are plenty of fans that win or lose are behind you guys and are PROUD of what you guys have done. World Series win or lose we will be back next season to support our Houston Astros again.

I was not a huge baseball fan until a few weeks ago. I started watching when the Astros were playing against the Cardinals. When my boyfriend explained that the Astros were so close to getting to the World Series, I started watching. I was so excited when we won the Championship. I stood in line almost an hour to buy the t-shirts, feeling the excitement and energy around with my fellow Astronians. Everyone in line was over the moon! GO ASTROS!!! We love you! Thank you all so much! I was an Astros Buddy from back in '69 right up until I got too old. I have moved all over the U.S. and Canada since I was grown but the Astros have always been my team and my link to home. I am so proud of all you guys and proud for all the people back home. Houston has always been a great baseball town where the team and the fans all do it "the right way".
Thanks again for this amazing feeling!!!

It ain't over 'til it's over! We're behind you all the way. I was an "Astros Buddy" as a kid, and I remember the sound of Jose Cruuuuuuz echoing around the Dome. That's where it started, and I am so excited for the team and what they've done for the Houston area. Baggy will always be my favorite, but he and Biggio are both great examples to the young kids that loyalty and hard work pays off! Congrats and best of luck - Go 'Stros!

Greetings from Chi-town! I am the biggest follower of the astros in Chicago! Been through all the pain and suffering from 80', 86' & 2004!This is our year. I'll be cheering you guys on from my apartment in Chicago! To win it all you have to go through a little adversity and our team is very resilient and will not quit! Good luck guys and bring it home to h-town and to all the astro fans all over the world! Remember the Astros win with class not lucky breaks (Cheating)! Take care guys and have fun playing astro ballthe rest of the series!- Ramon Ruiz (#1 Astro fan in Chicago)

Hey guys! I just want to wish you good luck tomorrow!!! I haven't worn socks since Friday/Saturday and I don't plan on it until we WIN this thing!! No matter if we win or loose you guys have come up and gone SOOO far, I couldn't be prouder! Congrats on making it this far and bring home that Pennent!!! Oh by the way, if that fu@*%!g stupid umpire hadn't made that HORRIBLE call last night (where what's his face DIDN'T GET HIT BY THE BALL)ya'll would've had it in the bag. GO ASTROOOOOOOSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!

GO 'STROS! I'm a true blue astros fan, and i'm proud of you guys! I went through absolute **** last yr. because i lived in IL. 45 mins. from St. Louis, and it was a sea of red! but i'm back to my roots, good ol' tejas! I love y'all and wish y'all tha best of luck. behind you 100% the whole way! Roger is my idol, and i wish him all best, w/his injury, and whatever happens after the series! Monica - Brady, TX

Well it wouldn't be our ASTROS if they didn't give us something to worry about!
I know they're down 0-2, but that's JUST where we want Chicago.

Bring on Roy O and our KILLER "B's" and we're getting it done in H-TOWN!!! Nothing compares to the noise I heard in Minute Maid during game 5 of the NLCS. Our fans are the best, and we're so grateful for the first WORLD SERIES coming here.

LETS PULL THEM THROUGH!!!!

GO STROS!

PS: I LOVE BIGGIO!!!

I'd like to start out by saying this. I do not remember Astros management saying anything after game 7 last year except words of praise for the ST. Louis organization. I do not recall an excuse. Now, I have to say that I am very disappointed in Bud Selig's decision to force the Atros to keep the roof open. Hey! I have an idea. Let's just play all WS games in a very normal and ordinary stadium without such amenities. Why bother giving the OK for a stadium if your not going to let the team use it as they see fit? Or was it just to be used for All star type events. I don't think it will change the outcome of the game but I don't agree either. The fans in Houston will make up the difference, I promise!
Go 'stros and be relentless!!

Down 2 games? This is nothing. Try watching 18 nail-biting innings and then Pujohls up to bat a few days later. This season has been the greatest -- so full of ups and downs. So full of hope, despair, joy, desperation. This team is full of surprises, talent and most of all, heart. They make me proud to live in Houston and be a Texan. Two years ago I knew nothing about baseball. Now I am the biggest Astros fan! Thanks for adding some excitement to our lives! Thanks for being great role models for our kids! Thanks Astros! I'm lovin' this season! Now go out there and "Get R Done!"

Hey White Sox. Congrats on ALCS. We bat last in Houston.
Gordon in Rainier, OR

What an unbelievable year!! Good Luck to the Astros...you have come a long way. You can do it.. We BEE-lieve.

I just want to say that I love you guys, win or lose. Good luck and now that we are home let's show them how we do it in Texas. I LOVE BACKE!!!

WE are proud of you Astro's!!! My 2 yr old walks around the house already saying "go Astro's!" I am looking forward to your next season because we will be bringing him and hopefully getting some autographs!!! WE BEE-LIEVE!!!!

GO ASTROS!! WOOHOO YA'LL DID IT GUYS YA'LL ARE IN THE WORLD SERIES!! I have waited so long for this one,but I know Biggio and Bagwell have been waiting longer than I have! I just want to wish ya'll the best of luck and whatever the outcome is, I'm behind ya'll all the way! so many people doubted ya'll but I had faith in my team. good luck tonight guys! Bring that World Series title to Texas boys! Tonight is ya'lls night...so go and take it!

Just wanted to say one more thing...all of your fans from my little town in Beeville, Texas support you all the way! Get some red and Get some green!!

~The Lugo Family in Beeville, Texas

To My All-Time Favorite Pastime, the Houston Astros:
Thank you for making this one of the funnest, most exhilorating times of my life. God must be an Astros fan! I really think He is using you and your talents to glorify Himself by showing the WORLD an example of perseverence, dedication, love and devotion, hard work, excitement, sacrifice, hope, HUMILITY, and JOY!! You may be struggling now after losing game 2, but you have proven that your strength of character and your committment to your fans and your teammates can and will rise you above ANY challenge you may face. Prove to everyone, as always, that even from the depths of discouragement, you can be VICTORIOUS by NEVER GIVING UP! You have inspired me to be a better person in life, to have hope, to keep going, and to believe that anything is possible. I am sure that there are so many little-leaguers that are looking up to you, and I can just picture all those little kids out there pretending to be Biggio or Burke or Berkman or Bags or Vizcaino or Oswalt or Lidge or ANY one of you guys. You are truly a TEAM....a FAMILY...and it is hard to put a finger on any one person as the reason we are here. EACH ONE of you has an important, no CRUCIAL, role to play...whether you are out there on the field or sitting on the bench. Thank you for bringing dignity and old-fashioned fun back into baseball. I am praying for each one of you. May your hearts be touched and your spirit be lifted up. You have truly been BLESSED, and we have all been blessed by watching you.

To Brad Lidge:

SO WHAT?!?!?! No big deal! You are STILL nails and we have EVERY confidence in you that you have the right stuff to carry us through. EVERYONE has those moments...EVERY DAY....even me in my life as a mom. Sometimes things are going right and sometimes they aren't, but the low times are used to bring about something even better in us. We all know you have been blessed with a great talent and a love for your game, so you CAN and WILL succeed. We are proud of you and your whole team no matter what happens. You are a quality person of character and dignity!

Amy of Austin

Go Astros!!! Great job in making it to the World Series. I know ya'll will bounce back and compete like the champions you are. Go Astros and bring Houston home a championship.

THANK YOU FOR TAKING US ON THIS EXCITING JOURNEY WITH YOU. IT HAS BROUGHT A NEW FEELING TO HOUSTON!!!! GOOD LUCK GUYS!

I recently sent a note of encouragement to Phil Garner at Minute Maid Park (after Game 5 of the NLCS). I want to tell the players what I told "Scrap Iron", plus a little extra for this occasion.

Watching Lidge cough up the bomb to Pujols was bad, and seeing him cough up an even bigger bomb to Podsednik was really bad. I regretfully admit I was contemplating writing off Lidge, but then I remembered a line from Mac, the pitching coach in Little Big League: “Aw, what the h***. This whole season been crazy anyway.” Mr. Lidge, I believe I speak for a majority of Astros fans when I say: we have NOT given up on you. You have bailed us out more times than the number of games you’ve blown, and I am glad I have had a change of heart.

I am certain all 25 players on the team, plus Garner, the coaching staff and the front office, put forth maximum effort on a daily basis. I have faith in each of you, and despite your team’s troubles this season, I still firmly believe you can win the World Series in 2005. As I said in my letter to Garner: “Maybe it’s better if you win the pennant on the road. I was a pitcher back in high school, and played in some big games. In a sense, I actually preferred winning crucial games on the road, because not only did I come out victorious, but there stood a good chance of p***ing off the opposing team’s fans in the process.” The same goes for the World Series that applied to the pennant.

To Roger: Dude, you are the best! The first game of yours I ever saw on television was when you got tossed from (I believe) Game 4 of the 1990 ALCS. I was in the 5th grade, and it was the first postseason game I ever remember watching. While I would like to see you come back in ’06, if you decide to hang up the cleats after this season, thanks for the memories. You have been an inspiration to baseball fans everywhere.

To Lance Berkman: You are the best hitter on the team, and for some reason, my ex-girlfriend says you have a cute butt.

To Craig & Jeff: Nobody can think of the Astros without thinking of you two guys. Please continue giving guidance and inspiration to the team’s younger players.

To all other Astros players, including those mentioned above: Best of luck to each of you in the World Series.

As a fan, I would love nothing more than to see Bud Selig on that stage after the World Series handing the trophy to “the 2005 World Champion Houston Astros.”

I wish my grandpa was alive to see the Astros go all the way! GOOO Astros!!!!

Go Astros. This is so exciting and thank you for the fun. I do have a problem with who decides if the roof is open or not. I didn't see the MLB paying for Minute Maid park, so why should they have a say if the roof is open or closed. I thought we live in America not a baseball dictatorship.

Another note from your #1 fan in northcentral PA.: I have been wildly pulling for you all year and have even recruited some new fans for you. No one has been more vocal and excited about your accomplishments. It's weird but now that you are in the World Series and even down 2-0 I have felt this overwhelming sense of calm. The only explaination I have is that no matter what, you are destined to win. I don't know a great deal about baseball but I did predict early on that you would make it to the series and play the White Sox! Spooky huh?! You may be surprised to know I'm a wife, a mother of a future MLB pitcher, a big fan of Roger Clemens as well as Pettitte, Oswalt and Backe and a believer in the Astros...the classiest team in baseball. It's time to go to BATTLE!

A big thanks to the ENTIRE Team for such an awesome year. I've been a loyal fan since 1976. I can't tell you guys how proud I am to to live in this city and have you as our Team. You guys are the best! Good luck for the rest of the series. No matter what happens- I'll always be your number one fan!

GO STROS!!!!!! I have always been proud to be from Texas & prouder of our ball team.. My girls & I have followed you through all the good & bad throughout the years. My 7 yr old daughter knows all the players by name & number.... YOU ARE ALL OUR HOMETOWN HERO'S..... Gotta luv the game!!!!!!

GO ASTROS!!!!! MY HUSBAND AND I ARE VERY PROUD TO BE PART OF THIS HISTORY. HE HAS FOLLOWED THE TEAM FOR HIS ENTIRE LIFE!!! YOU ARE ALL WINNERS NO MATTER WHAT THE OUTCOME!!!! WE'RE PROUD OF YOUR EFFORTS...KEEP IT UP!!!!
LET'S KICK SOME "WHITE SOX"...

SHARRON & DAN SMITH

GO ASTROS! I think you guys show MLB what a "team" is made of. I just wanted to say congratulations and I'm praying for you the good guys for safety and good sportmanship!

GO STROS!!!! Guys like the ones on this team are the reason baseball is my favorite sport. Keep up the great work and bring Houston a World Series Championship!

Oh My Gosh!! My daughter and I LOVE you guys. Y'all are a class act and the epitomy of professionalism. We are so proud of you guys and the accomplishments that you have made this year. Brad Lidge is still the best closer in baseball and there is no better catcher that Brad Ausmus! Roy O. is the hottest pitcher around right now and we are totally confident that he will take care of it tonight. Lance Berkman is my daughter's favorite, mostly because he could pass for her daddy's twin. She yells out go daddy when he bats, it's really funny. We were privileged enough to make it to that AWESOME 18 inning affair and when I went to pick her up and get the tickets from her dad, he told her that he would hit a home run for her that day. She was absolutely beside herself when Berkman smoked that grand slam. He is an awesome hitter and I know that Ensberg's bat is due to get hot again as well. Willie T. is playing tremendous and totally deserves to be Rookie of the Year. All the guys are just wonderful and I hope this team stays intact for a long time to come. We BEE-LIEVE totally in you guys no matter the outcome. You guys have given us a heck of a season and we appreciate your hard work and dedication. I know that the Good Guys will take care of business as only they know how.

GO 'STROS!!!!!

I'm SOOOOOOOO PROUD of my ASTROS!!!
It's BEEn a heck of a season, we love you and support you all the way! You guys go out there and kick some butt!! We BEElieve in you no matter the outcome. GO 'STROS!!!!!!!!!
